THE GREY OF ME. (JUNGKOOK-BTS) {COMPLETED}

Chapter 1

Y/N POV:

It was 13th of July, 2013, 8:00 A.M in the morning, and a usual hustle bustle while entering the school.  The usual air, the cheering yet annoying crowd, the assembly ground being prepared for the assembly, and the sight of Jeon Jungkook sitting near the stairs, mesmerized into his new hobby ‘sketching’. The wind rushing towards him, his long moving hair, while his gaze fixed on his sketchbook, was a rare but very mesmerizing sight to my eyes. He has been my classmate for now 10 years and the bond we share goes way back to our childhood. Well, you can say, I have liked him since then. But, that dumb, never understands what goes in my heart.

While I was deep into my thoughts, Jungkook got up and started moving towards me. Whenever he comes near me or his gaze is fixed on me, I get a sense of frenzy that goes down my spine and makes my heart beat faster than usual.

-  He came up towards me and whispered, “What you looking at, y/n? I know I’ve been looking quite attractive today but you don’t need to peep secretly. I totally belong to you.”

- I, for a second, couldn’t believe what he said, but then he whispered, “Just kidding.”

- I was so upset and angry. At the same moment I started kicking him, “Yahhh, stop fooling around. You do belong to me. I am your only friend who has lasted long than enough with your rude, sarcastic and funky behavior.”

- Jungkook immediately said, “ Yahh, that hurts!”

He then put his hand on my shoulder and we began walking towards our building. The sense of his skin on my shoulder made me wish to stay by his side forever. His scent and his voice was so addictive that I wanted to get down for him. His every walk made feel like I should walk from heaven to hell for him to be mine.

The school bell rang and we rushed to our classroom for our first period. While running through the corridors Jungkook bumped into Jackson Wang. Jackson Wang, is our senior, the only person who Jungkook hates the most in the world. The two of them have been pulling each other down, have constant fights, been hating each other since 5 years now. The weirdest part, I am friends with Jackson Wang since 8 years. He lives near my house and his family has been working with my dad for 5 years now.

- “Watch yourself d**k! Otherwise I would be forced to break your legs if you cross me again.” Jackson wang shouted.

The only thing I wish not to happen is Jungkook and Jackson fight to death whenever their paths are crossed.

- Jungkook said harshly, “How about this? You stay the f**k away from my way and I won’t kick your ass!”

Jackson grabbed the collar of Jungkook’s shirt and there went the signs of a new fight around the campus.
I stood in between of Jungkook and Jackson and did the same, tried to stop them from killing each other, or at least from being expelled from the school, as they have had many warnings from the headmaster for their numerous fights.

- Jackson and Jungkook spoke together, “Y/N, stay away.”

As the head master arrived, everyone started rushing to their classrooms but he caught me, Jungkook and Jackson. He was pissed as usual but didn’t say much cause the fight didn’t take place.

I and Jungkook rushed to our classroom and so did Jackson. The day ended at a peaceful note and the school got over. As I reached home, my dad was already waiting for me along with some luggage beside him. I was curious about what is happening but he asked me to freshen up and then come to the hall as he had something important to tell me.

As I went to my room, a text popped up on my mobile.

- It was from Jungkook. “Coming to pick you up. Will be at your house in 15 minutes.”

I told him to come after 20 minutes as dad had some important to discuss and I kept the mobile on my bed and went in bathroom. As I freshened up, I straight away went to hallway and dad asked me to sit down.

I was worried what had happened but he consoled me that there isn’t something bad news.

- Dad said calmly, “We have to shift to America. It’s a part of my work, where I have to handle the business in USA for a time being.”

I was silent. I could only think of how Jungkook will react to this. I won’t be able to meet him for a very long time.

- Dad said, “Tomorrow morning, we have to depart, so start packing your luggage.”

A vehicle arrived in front of my house on which Jungkook was sitting, blowing horns for me to come out. I rushed through the hallway and went towards him.

- “Let’s go.” Jungkook said with giving me the helmet.

- I asked him, “Where are we going?”

- “To eat dinner, I’ll pay.” I hopped on his bike and we went to my favorite restaurant.

Jungkook’s POV:

Y/N didn’t spoke a word while we were coming and now even at her favorite restaurant she doesn’t seem happy as she usually is. Something is wrong with her. Is she again angry on me for picking up a fight with her beloved friend Jackson? Let me buy her ramyeon and she will spill the beans.

We both sat on a table and after few minutes our food arrived. While eating the food y/n didn’t speak anything.

- “What’s wrong, y/n?” I asked while slurping the soup from the bowl.

- “I have to tell you something and I hope that you would take it seriously, without making joke, sarcastic comment.”she said almost looking worried.

- “Why such serious tone, y/n?” I asked almost in a worried voice.

-  “My dad is moving to USA for a time being. He is needed over there. He has to work there for a specific time being and I have to move along with him. Tomorrow morning, we have to depart. I won’t be coming to Korea for a long time.” Y/N said it all together without pausing for a second as if she was startled by the news herself and was expecting a reaction from me.

I went blank in my head, wasn’t able to think about anything but the distance and time separating two friends.
