Clay POV:
Waking up with George in my arms could quite possibly be one of the best feelings in the world. He's still asleep, his chest moving up and down slowly. Mornings like these are my favourite. Where its so quiet, you can barely hear any cars driving past, where there is nothing stressing me out and the only thing on my mind is George. I have one of my arms under his neck, pulling his head closer into my chest and the other wrapped around his waist. My chin is resting on top of his head, his hair tickling my neck every time he slightly shuffles in his sleep.
George is hardly ever verbally affectionate on camera, even when we're alone sometimes. He gets easily embarrassed and flustered so when he is snuggled into my side like this, it's the best feeling in the world.
I love waking up before George because now I can take my time to admire him without looking like 'a weirdo'. I run my finger down the bridge of his nose then bring my thumb to rub along his bottom lip. George has no flaws, in his looks or personality. I mean he can be a bit cocky at times but that doesn't make me love him any less. I love how his nose has a slight curve at the end. or how his lips are always so soft and pink. And how he knows these stupid little fun facts and would randomly say them at any time of day, even when they have nothing to do with what we was talking about. I love his eyes, how they are filled with passion whenever he talks about something he loves, or even now when they're closed but his eyelashes flutter, telling me that he'll be waking up soon.
Bringing my hands back to his hair, I pull at the brown locks every couple of seconds trying to pull him out of his deep sleep. I watch as a small smile appears on his face and his eyelashes flutter once more. "George~" I whisper softly, dragging my hand down to his face, stroking his cheek with my thumb. He hums in response, hugging me tighter for a second letting me know he's awake. "Morning sleepyhead" I say, chuckling lightly. I don't stop stroking his cheek, knowing how much he enjoys it.
George opens his eyes, looking directly at me with a beautiful smile plastered on his face. "Morning Clay" He answers quietly, detaching himself from me to stretch his arms out. I watch him as he does this with a loving smile. Once he's done stretching he wastes no time latching back on to me, burying his head back into my neck. "We can't just stay here all day babe" I whisper, bringing my hand back to his cheek. George leans back a bit to look up at my face. He stares at me for a minute then starts to giggle. "What?" I ask, laughing. He directs his eyes up towards my dirty blonde hair. I retract the hand on Georges face to reach up to my hair and feel the mess. George laughs harder at this once he sees the look on my face. I tut and role my eyes playfully at him "You're such an idiot" I say, bringing him closer to me once again.
George releases a big sigh and plays with my hair; messing it up even more but I couldn't care less. "You okay?" I ask. I feel him nod and hum in response. "Yeah, just sleepy. You smell nice" He says. I wheeze softly and pull his head up so we're now facing each other. I bring my hand to the back of his head and pull him closer, as well as leaning in myself. I watch as George closes his eyes so I do the same. Our lips meet. Kissing George will never be tiring, I could do it over and over again and fall in love each time. George tilts his head to the right slightly and I do the same, but going right. My fingers tangle themselves in his hair all while he wraps his arms around my neck deepening the kiss. After a couple of minutes I feel George tap on my my chin twice, signalling he's running out of breath. I swiftly pull away and lean my head on his. "Ah, sorry guess I got a bit carried away" I say with an awkward chuckle. He giggles and I cant help but melt at the sound.
"Don't be sorry, I liked it stupid" George says reassuring me. I wide grin makes its way onto my face as I peck Georges lips once again. "George?" I ask, smirking. He looks at me and raises an eyebrow. "Yes?' He asks confused. "I love you" I say, looking him in the eyes. I watch as the colour of his cheeks darken and he buries his head into the pillow with embarrassment. "Clayyyyyy" George whined out. I gasp pretending to be hurt. "George! You don't love me?" I ask pouting, obviously joking though. "S-shut up and go make me coffee or something idiot" he mumbles into the pillow. I chuckle once again and climb out of bed.
Walking into the kitchen, I kind of regret not putting a hoodie on or something because it's freezing. I switch the button on the kettle to boil the water, get Georges favourite coffee mug out from the cupboard. Putting the teaspoon of coffee in along with a sweetener. Once the kettle is finished boiling I pour it into the mug. Walking over to the fridge, I take out the milk and pour it into the mug as well. After I finish stirring all the ingredients together, I walk back towards our bedroom.
Opening our bedroom door, taking in the adorable sight in front of me. George is laying in bed, hugging the pillows and duvet closely to his small body. He fell back asleep, of course he did. I walk over to the bed and sit down next to him, placing his mug of coffee on the bed side table. I use my hand to brush his hair off of his head and lean down to place a sweet delicate kiss on forehead. A smile appears on his face, yet he doesn't open his eyes. "Clay" he whispers. I hum in response, all while cooing over his adorableness. "I love you too, Clay". I melt right on the spot, freezing at his words. Climbing beside him and laying back down, pulling George into my chest again. "You actually said it" I say, closing my eyes releasing a sigh. "Stop being dramatic, it's only words" George says from beneath me. "It's so much more than that Georgie, it means so much to me" I say, meaning every word.
Before I knew what was happening, George climbs onto my lap, now straddling my hips. "Well then" He says, leaning down to my face. He kisses my forehead "I love you" then kisses my nose "I love you" then moving to my cheeks and kissing both "I love you" then finally planting a long kiss on my lips "I love you a hell of a lot, Clay" He says, finalising the words. I don't move from my spot, too stunned to even say anything. George only laughs at my reaction falling down on my chest. I finally recompose my self and wrap my arms around the boy on top of me as tight as I can. "I love you too, so much" I say softly, kissing the top of his hair. "If I knew how much it meant to you Clay, I would've said it much sooner, I'm sorry" George says. I bring my fingers to his hair "Shh, don't be sorry Georgie. I know things like this make you sometimes uncomfortable or embarrassed. But I really appreciate it and I really, really love you" I whisper, closing my eyes and leaning my head back. "Hmm, love you too" He says giggling. We're silent for a moment before George decides to speak again. "You know, it feels good to say it. Because I really do mean it" He says tiredly rambling. "Go back to sleep George, you're still sleepy and you tend to ramble when you're tired" I say, bringing him closer into my chest. I feel as his breaths even out and before I know it, he's asleep in my arms.
