Chapter Three

It was around 12 am when the married couple arrived home. Irene opened the door to see her maid, Seulgi, mopping the large floor in front of the stairs.

"Ah, you're up late Ms. Kang. You can go to sleep now. I'm sure you've worked hard today." Irene smiled. "No, I've been slacking lately Ms. Bae. I can't sleep now, but I assure you I'll get some rest today." Seulgi said, wiping sweat off her forehead.

"You're such a hard worker, Seulgi. Thank you." Irene planted a soft kiss on Seulgi's cheek, Seulgi smiling big as ever.

"Is Mr. Bae coming inside soon?" Seulgi asked, putting the mop against the wall. "He's having a little chat with the owner of JinkiDesign, aha.." Irene laughed awkwardly.

"Ahh, I see I see.." Seulgi said, staring at Irene's soft lips. Seulgi was waiting for the day Irene dumped that horrid man and started dating her instead. Seulgi is the only one who knows how Sanghoon treats Irene.

The two were chatting for a bit before the door slammed open. It was Sanghoon.

"Irene, let's go to bed. That party tired me out!" He laughed, nudging Seulgi's shoulder. "Go mop the rest of the mansion, won't you?" He laughed again, walked up the stairs.

Irene looked at Sanghoon, then back at Seulgi. "Goodnight, Seulgi. I'll see you tomorrow." Irene blew a kiss to Seulgi, giggling afterwards, then head upstairs.

Seulgi prayed he wouldn't hurt her tonight. Seulgi couldn't bear hearing her screams anymore.
