A loss for the better

Once we had lost the soldiers, we wandered into the capital. It had changed so much after the war.
The buildings were we went after everything we had done was considered dark. The place were our biggest buildings stood was replaced by a weird metal machine. All of a sudden my vision went blurry and I passed out. I woke up minutes later strapped to that weird machine with my whole unit in front of me grinning. Then I realized, they've been controlled this whole time, the whole battle was a set-up to lure me here. I tried yelling but with no avail, they were lost in the darkness.
Seeing no other way out I tried reaching for my sword, and cutting the chains and once I did, I was attacked by my friend, Luke, "I can't kill him" I thought, with that I kept on sparring his attacks and effortlessly losing I decided I had no other choice but to do so. After he went to finish me off I dodged his attack and thrust my sword through his heart.
