"I can take that," Malfoy said as he grabbed a trunk with each hand.
They made their way to the staircases. Aislyn's eyes widened with shock when the staircases began to shift and hover to new locations. Malfoy observed her reactions, laughing and smiling to himself, as if he was watching a puppy learn what snow is.
After climbing many stairs, they eventually reached the common room. "Pureblood," he said, opening the door. "That's the password for Slytherin, each house has a different password," he clarified.
"Why?"
"Why what?" He responded sarcastically.
"Why is the password pureblood?"
He stopped what he was doing and stepped towards me. His height allowed him to loom over me as he said, "You wouldn't have been put in Slytherin unless you're pureblood."
"I am, I just don't understand what the big deal is."
"And if you question it with anyone else, you're asking to get ignored by your own house. Keep that to yourself." Although his advice seemed rude and ignorant, it was unfortunately true, and he meant to keep her safe.
Aislyn paced the common room, admiring the complex designs on the furniture and the metal bars twisted into snakes on the windows. "Who were you mocking in the Great Hall?
His arms laid crossed on his chest,"Pottah?" He responded with anger. "He deserved it, especially for being friends with Weasley and that mudblood Granger."Aislyn recoiled at his choice of language. He opened the door for her, allowed her in first, then ran in front to lead her to a bedroom. Once they reached the room, he lugged the trunks to the end of the bed and set them down with a thud.
"Ay, what's your name again?"
"Aislyn Elmore. You're Malfoy, right?"
"Draco Malfoy," he corrected snobbishly. "This is your room. The other side is the boy's dormitory. That's... all I've got." He looked around awkwardly, as if trying to find anything else to explain. "Did you get your schedule?"
She replied swiftly, "Yes, right here." Removing the schedule from her pocket, the edges revealed to be frayed and crinkled.
He snatched it from her hand and used his finger to skim each class. "We're in the same classes, so just follow my group tomorrow." As he handed the schedule back, he added, "And some advice, avoid Gryffindors... most of them are filthy mudbloods anyways." He walked towards the door, however before opening it, he paused. He decided to walk back to the perplexed girl who couldn't figure him out
Shocked by the term he used, Aislyn stood speechless at Malfoy's attitude.
Malfoy held out a hand for Aislyn, dashingly asking, "And if you want to go out sometime," He ran his fingers through his floppy blonde hair with the opposite hand, "I'm usually around." He smirked, believing he had just won Aislyn over.
She stood there and calmly said, "Thank you for the offer, but I prefer guys who aren't ignorant nor rude."
He pulled his hand down aggressively and huffed in her face, looming over her, "You're going to regret that."
"Make me."
