As I weaved through the crowd of people on the streets to get to the voices, they seemed to get louder and louder. The voices started to ring over and over in my head, to the point where it started to hurt. Then it only started to escalate from there. The ground felt like it was moving in circles. It got really hard to know which direction I was going. I kept bumping into people to the point where there were a few people watching me with concerned looks on their faces. I tried to keep walking in the direction of the voices, but everything started to blend into a mix of colors. I tried to concentrate on my feet, taking one step at a time. I still couldn't deny that this was happening to me. I really wanted to find the voices.
As I walked closer to my destination, the voices started to repeat themselves faster than before. Suddenly, everything stopped. The voices stopped, leaving a soft ringing in my ear. A wave of exhaustion came over me, and the dizziness swept off my feet causing me to fall over.
I seemed to wake up in a field of bright green grass. I didn't understand how I got from the streets of Tokyo, to this big field. I decided to call for help. I heard my voice echo through the open feild. I waited for a response, but nothing came. It felt uncomfortably silent. As I listened to my long echo, I felt a soft breeze. I felt more connected to nature than ever before. Especially the earth. I felt so grounded. It was like we were connecting to one another, sharing our stories. As I sat down the earth felt like it was folding in on me, like a large blanket.
But suddenly, the peace was disturbed by a bright green light. It was even brighter than the grass that already felt like it was glowing. I felt a wave of panic wash over me, making me feel uncomfortable in the presence of the green light. I slowly opened my eyes to see how bright the light really was. It felt like the earth wanted me to explore. So I got up and pulled the energy to start running towards the light. It didn't move at all. By the time I got halfway there, I was starting to pant like a dog after running straight down a large hill. But the urge to find out what the green light was took over me. It made me get back on my feet and keep going. When I reached it I fell backwards on the grass. I used so much energy, I didn't have much left to realize that everything was turning black.
When I opened my eyes, I didn't open them to the green grass and green light. My connection to the earth had disappeared, and been replaced with an odd tiredness. When I looked forward, I saw the scratched up grey sidewalk, and feet of cats.
