Meanwhile, on the Nemesis, Megatron stood on the bridge, consumed by thoughts of the ongoing war ravaging Cybertron. In the midst of his brooding, Starscream approached, ready to deliver his report to his lord and master.

"Master," Starscream addressed Megatron.

"Starscream, report," Megatron commanded.

"Dreadwing, Skyquake, and Overload have successfully secured a full supply of Energon for us, my liege," Starscream reported.

"And?" Megatron inquired.

"We've eradicated any Autobot resistance that dared to oppose us, Master," Starscream replied.

"Excellent. Let the Autobots understand that the Decepticons shall have as much Energon as we desire," Megatron declared before turning his attention to the seeker commander. "Now, Starscream, do you believe in destiny?" he questioned.

"Yes, my liege. I have every confidence that the Autobots will falter, paving the way for our triumph in the great war. They will bow before us, Lord Megatron," Starscream affirmed.

"Do not put your faith in notions like 'hope', Starscream. Hope is a weakness," Megatron admonished.

"My apologies, Master. However, I do have one inquiry, if you'll indulge me," Starscream pressed.

"Proceed," Megatron permitted.

"Given the state of warfare, does it not concern you that something might slip your mind?" Starscream probed cautiously.

"And what might that be, Starscream?" Megatron questioned.

Pausing momentarily, Starscream broached the subject carefully, "Do you recall the femme bot you encountered during your days as a gladiator? The one you proposed to before embarking on your political campaign?"

"Firestar," Megatron acknowledged, rubbing his chin in contemplation. "Yes, I recall our engagement. It has been months since I last saw her," he admitted.

"Do you still desire her as your conjunx-endura?" Starscream inquired.

"Of course I do! I am not a fool," Megatron retorted sharply.

"My liege, do you love her?" Starscream pressed.

Before Megatron could respond, a Vehicon interrupted, reporting a visitor.

"Lord Megatron, we have a visitor," the Vehicon announced.

"Who is it this time?" Megatron demanded, his patience wearing thin.

"It's your sparkmate, Firestar. She requests an audience with you," the Vehicon named Steve informed.

Megatron's optics widened with a mix of surprise and realization. Amidst the chaos of leading his Decepticons into battle for Cybertron, he had forgotten about his betrothed. Swiftly, he issued orders for his comrades to grant him a private audience with Firestar at Kaon, before transforming into a Cybertronian jet and departing from the Nemesis in search of his future conjunx-endura.

Meanwhile, Firestar, alone and anxious, had requested an audience with her intended, waiting nervously as the Vehicons granted her request. When Megatron finally arrived, reverting to his robot form, Firestar's relief was palpable.

"Megatronus! Thank the Allspark you're safe," she exclaimed.

"I go by the name 'Megatron' now, my dear," he corrected gently, approaching her. "What brings you out here alone, Firestar?" he inquired.

"I came to see you, my love," Firestar admitted, her voice tinged with concern. "Since the war began, I've been terrified of losing you."

Megatron's expression softened as he reassured her. "Nothing will ever keep me from you, Firestar. The war was necessary to combat the corruption in our society and the Council's refusal to act against Sentinel Zeta Prime."

"I heard about your clash with the Council, about your desire for a just society," Firestar replied sympathetically. "It's a shame they couldn't see your vision."

"Yes, unfortunate indeed. But seeing you again, my dear sparkmate, brings me solace," Megatron murmured, a hint of warmth in his voice.

"Megatron, I've made my decision. I want to stand by your side, not as a Decepticon, but as your bride," Firestar declared earnestly. "I've left everything behind to be with you...forever."

Megatron's spark stirred at her words, overcome with emotion. "You wish to be my conjunx-endura?" he asked, stunned.

"Yes, and I can't wait any longer to begin our future together," Firestar confessed, her voice trembling with emotion. "I love you, Megatron, with all my spark. Please, let me join you wherever you go."

"Firestar..." Megatron whispered, moved by her unwavering devotion.

Tears cascaded down Firestar's metal cheeks as Megatron tenderly lifted her chin with one claw, their optics locking in a profound gaze. She noticed the changes in him since their last meeting: his once sky-blue optics now glowed ruby red, his features marked by battle scars, and a mesmerizing intensity in his gaze that she found impossible to resist. Drawn together by an undeniable magnetism, they leaned closer, their faces inches apart, until their lips met in a tender, passionate kiss.

As they parted, Megatron's claw caressed Firestar's cheek before he fixed her with a solemn gaze, questioning her commitment.

"Are you certain you wish to be by my side forever?" he asked, his voice low with intensity.

"Yes," Firestar replied without hesitation.

"Do you pledge to love, honor, and trust me?" Megatron pressed further.

"Yes, Megatron," Firestar affirmed, her voice unwavering.

"Then hear my proposal: join me, and together we shall right the wrongs of our world," Megatron began, his tone resolute. "We will lead the Decepticon empire, bringing peace to Kaon and Cybertron once the war is ended. With you as my queen, we shall reign supreme."

"I vow to stand beside you, always," Firestar vowed.

"Remember this: you are mine, and mine alone. Do you understand?" Megatron's gaze bore into hers, his grip firm yet tender as he held her chin.

"Yes, Megatron. I promise to remain by your side," Firestar assured him.

"In that case, my dear, will you marry me?" Megatron's voice softened, his eyes sparkling with affection.

"Yes. A thousand times, yes," Firestar replied, her heart overflowing with love.

With smiles exchanged, they embraced once more, their lips meeting in another tender kiss. But their moment of bliss was shattered by the desperate cries of a familiar voice.

"STOP!!!" Inferno's voice pierced the air, his anguish palpable.
