It's officially been a year. Autumn's birthday was right around the corner. She's gotten so big now, it felt like yesterday when I had her, now she's going to be one.
Jay was out grocery shopping so we can have tacos tonight, hehe he wanted to start this whole "Taco Tuesday" thing. I was watching SpongeBob with Autumn when I heard the door open and close downstairs.
"Stay right here big girl, mama will be right back." I kissed her cheek before putting on my robe and walking downstairs.
Jay was unbagging and putting up groceries, with someone else. He took a quick glance at me and smiled. "Hey baby." He kissed my cheek. "Mm hey." I spoke dryly. He looked back at the woman then looked back at me. "Myra, I'd like you to meet my sister Marie."
She gave me a bright smile and stuck her hand out to shake. "Hi, nice to meet you. Jason has told me so much about you. I was excited when he flew me out here to finally meet you. I understand I have a little niece now." I returned the smile.
"Yes, I can't say the exact same because Jay never told me you were coming."
"It was meant to be a surprise." He interrupted.
I mouthed an 'oh'.
"I'd love to see her. Can I see her?" She asked. I nodded. "Yeah, she's upstairs, third room on the right." She happily trotted off upstairs. I turned to look at Jason. "What?" I folded my arms and smiled then walked up to him and kissed him.
"I, want to spice some things up in our relationship." He gave me a confused look. "How?" I smirked. "Oh my gosh she's so beautiful!" Marie said coming down the stairs with Autumn.
"Aw, mama would love to see this beautiful bundle of joy." "She sure would, wouldn't she?" He spoke slowly. He's thinking about something. "How about we let mama see her, I'm sure she'll be happy knowing she's finally a grandkid." We laughed.
"It took us long enough. She was waiting for one of her children to have kids. It sure wasn't gonna be me, I least expected it to be you." He smiled.
"How about we go see mama this weekend? It's about time Myra met my family." Marie lit up.
I felt like my soul imploded. "Ahhhhh, I can't wait. You'll be my favorite sister!" Marie exclaimed. "Hey, she'll be your only sister." My eyes widened, I looked at Jay. He shrugged and smiled.
I have a fear of heights, I never been on a plane before. My heart was pounding so hard. Jay scooped my hand into his.
"Hey, hey, calm down. It's not as bad as you think." I gave him a look.
"You're used to travelling, I'm not. I have a horrible fear of heights, very horrible fear." He chuckled a little bit.
The plane had just taken off, I was on the verge to hyperventilating. I couldn't control my breathing. Jay was asleep and I didn't want to wake him. There was a light flash and a clap of thunder not to long afterwards.
The entire plane shook. My heart dropped into my stomach, I started hyperventilating. Jay woke up and took my hand into his. "Babe, Myra, calm down." I couldn't hear him, my ears were ringing.
Not long, I ended up passing out. Jason was carrying me in his arms when I woke up. It looked like we were in the airport parking lot.
"Look who finally woke up." He chuckled. "I told you I was afraid of heights." I curled up on his chest and fell back asleep.
I felt tapping on my shoulder. "Hey baby, we're here." I sat up and looked out the window. We were at this old brick house, there were many plants everywhere, an old wooden rocking chair on the porch of the house.
