Jalen's Pov
I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off I turned it off and checked the time and it was 7:55 which means I'm late by the time I get to school I'll already have missed first period I got up did my morning routine grabbed and eggo and some coffee and literally ran out of the house I really need to stop doing this late thing, I turned on the radio and was listening to some halsey's while heading to school I pulled into school with only four minutes left in first period so I decided to sit in my car and wait on the bell to head to second period I hope I don't run into her this morning because that would mean additional day's to my detention, the bell rang and I got out of the car and made my way to ap calculus while trying to be as invisible as possible, I made it to class and found a seat in the back and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding that's strange how did I not run into her today?
Today was such a drag I didn't see her anywhere even when I went to her office for last block she wasn't there, Mrs Jameson her secretary said she cancelled detention for this week because something came up,I feel so strange now that I haven't seen Nat's at all today, lemme just call to see where she's at punk where you at? " Oh my bad bro I slept over here last night but I'll see you in a few ok, 'alright I'm on my way home because detention is cancelled for the rest of this week so I guess we can go out but I gotta call mom's first though, hangs up call. On my way home to get ready I just turned the radio on and my favorite Halsey was on blasting through the speakers and me singing along, then my mind just went right back to her why can't I get her out of my head she's my principal for God's sake, I pulled up to the house and went to get ready to go out, I met up with Nat's at club Ambrosia and she had this broad saniki on her arm like a God damn armband " yo Nat's over here I said waving my hand around like crazy, she finally spotted me and started walking my way 'finally you decide to show up what we drinking blood?, "How about we get some Henny?' alright let me go order it, I went to the bar and order us a bottle of Henny and made my way back to our table I heard the voice again calling to me again in my head, not now I thought the voice immediately disappeared, I got back to the table and these two sucking each other's face off so I cleared my throat and they pulled apart smiling, I poured myself a cup and started looking around the club it was a pretty nice atmosphere by the time the club was closing it was like 2am I was so gone, we got home around 3 and I staggered towards my room while I guess Nat's and saniki took the guest room as soon as my body touched the bed I was out like a light, I was woken up by my alarm blaring I turned over trying to turn it off because I can feel a headache coming, it finally stopped ringing so I got up went to the bathroom did my morning hygiene and took two Advil, when I checked the time it was way past second block so I went to check if those two were up because I was about to head out to school, I knocked on the guest room door and didn't get an answer so I decided to leave a sticky note on the fridge 'gone to school call me when y'all up guess y'all real tired' It's almost been a month since I last saw her did she leave? where is she? these questions keep on popping up in my head from time to time I guess I was just imagining things with her,
"Um hi are you Jalen? Yes who's asking oh um hi my name is Jarri and I just wanted to say your cute 'blushing' would you like to hang out sometime or Netflix and chill?" Oh um I'll let you know and you're cute too can I get your number so we can make a date? Oh ye silly me sure it's 6849254312, thanks cutie I'll hit you up real soon, damn where this fine stud came from out the blue trying to know me, but what if Nat's start to notice I like stud's but I want to get to know Jarri she seems so chill and just like that I started to think how cool it would be if we actually became more than friends. I just went to class the rest of the day was a blur as soon as the last bell sounded I grabbed my stuff and headed home, when I reached home I didn't see Nat's or what's her name anywhere so I assumed they left I ordered a pizza and when to take a shower after I was finished I came downstairs to watch a movie and the doorbell rang finally I'm starving I paid for the pizza and went back to Matilda yes I know Its a child's movie but so what it's one of my favorite things to watch, I tried turning because the light was in my eyes didnt I close the blinds oh damn I fell off the bed wait it seems I fell asleep on the couch last night this isn't my room, oh well it's the weekend maybe I should hit Jarri up and see if she wants to hang out today.
Should I text or call? Ok text it is hey Jarri it's Jalen I wanted to know if you want to hang out today or go to mall or something? Oh yea sure what time should I meet you, how about 1pm, ok sure see you at 1pm and don't be late. Shit that was quick but I ain't complaining I get to spend the day with that goddess.
