THE DAY THAT harry had been dreading for days had finally arrived. the first task. harry and the other three champions were in the tent getting ready for what was to come. they could hear barty crouch addressing the crowd from outside the tent.
"each of the three tasks involves very considerable danger. please keep your seats at all times."
as he continued on, harry heard someone whisper his name from outside the tent. he leaned against the curtain and heard a familiar voice.
"harry? is that you?" he heard willow say from the other side of the tent.
"yeah," he nodded in response.
"how are you feeling? okay?" willow asked, clearly concerned. harry didn't answer right away, so she continued. "the key is to concentrate. after that, you just have to-"
"battle a dragon," harry said in response.
willow then broke through the curtain and engulfed harry in a hug, which he returned, surprised. right after, they heard a snap of a camera. they turned their heads to see rita skeeter smiling, with a camera man right next to her.
"young love!" she exclaimed as she walked over to the pair. "how... stirring." she pointed at her quick-quotes quill.
harry and willow broke away from the hug, willow feeling her anger grow.
"if everything goes unfortunately today," rita continued. "you two might even make the front page."
the other champions started to circle around to see what was happening.
"you have no business here," viktor said as he approached the group. "this tent is for champions.. and friends."
rita looked at the boy as he stared her down. "no matter," she started. "we've, uh, got what we wanted." the camera man took a photo of viktor before they walked off.
"good day, champions!" dumbledore said as he walked into the tent. "gather round, please."
the group formed a circle around him as he continued. "now, you've waited, you've wondered, and at last the moment has arrived. a moment, only four of you can fully appreciate." he turned to his side and noticed willow, who was still standing next to harry.
