Kokichis P.O.V
I wake up late it was around 10 in the morning. I notice the time and quickly get up changing into a oversized long sleeve shirt and shorts and shoes. I look at my phone and notice rantaro texted me
Rantaro🥰: Hey kokichi. Just wanted to know if you were still coming to the mall.
Kokichi💜: Hey taro! sorry it took me so long to respond! I overslept, but yeah i am.
Rantaro🥰: Oh its alright. wanna head over together?
Kokichi💜: Sure.
i stand up and pack my stuff running outside and heading to rantaros house to go to the mall.
AT THE MALL
me and rantaro wait outside for maki and kaede "...so rantaro?" i say turning to him "yes kokichi?" he replys with a smile "well... uhm... why did you want me to come to the mall with you anyway" i ask with my head tilted. he gets a bit flustered when he notices what i was asking "we-" he begins to speak but someone interupts him "AMAMIIII OUMAAAA" maki runs up and hugs us "ah hello maki" rantaro speaks first kaede walks up behind her and waves with an unamused expression. "hello kaede" rantaro says once again. maki stops hugging us and grabs kaedes hand. "okay! time to go go!!!" maki says loudly and happily runs ahead dragging kaede with her. i notice kaede smiling and it makes me smile as well. we all follow maki as she leads the way. once i notice kaede and maki are a little bit ahead i turn to rantaro. "so what were you saying?" i ask rantaro pauses for a minute. "well how about we talk about that at the cafe." rantaro replys with a nervous smile. i smile and nod and we continue to walk.
After we walk around the shops for a little bit all four of us go to the cafe and sit down (this is a very fancy mall if you couldnt tell) we order some drinks and pastrys and wait.
3rd person P.O.V
Maki looks at rantaro and slightly smiles she whispers something into kaedes ear and she nods and they both come up with some excuse to leave. kokichi turns to Rantaro "okay can you tell me now?" kokichi asks, Rantaro takes a deep breath and looks at kokichi deep in the eyes. "Kokichi your my best friend..." Amami says with a smile and kokichi nods "yeah?" kokichi says with his head tilted to the side rantaro takes a deep breath and sighs "well... what im trying to get at is... i asked you to come out here as a date... the reason for that was because... I like you kokichi...no... not like... I love you kokichi..." as rantaro said that he stared right into kokichis eyes regretting his desicion once he saw kokichis eyes turn into shock.
