It's been about a month since you started working for Sinclair. But over the course of that month you started to develop a friendship with him. You had learned that he was married and that he lived in the Home Counties. Not only had you learned about his relationship status but also the fact that he loved to talk. I mean the man talked so much it was hard for you to focus on your job and not what he was talking about. And today was one of those days.

"I had invited him to lunch at our house. I mean he was nice but I didn't really get a chance to talk to him much since Natalie and him were catching up." Sinclair said as he leaned over your desk, telling you about his wife's brother while twiddling with his fingers.

"Why don't you just invite Richard again? I'm sure he'd like that."

"Yes but I don't want to seem desperate for his acceptance."

"Sinclair, he probably likes you already. Just invite him over again and try to talk to him more. I'm sure he would accept the invitation."

"Are you sure? I-"

"Yes, I am Sinclair. Now can we please cut the chit chat so I can finish my paperwork?" You said with a chuckle.

"Oh right, I'm sorry. For lunch, do you think you can pick something up for Natalie, you and I?" He said with a kind smile.

"Sure. What do I get?"

"There's a small restaurant near by and just order whatever. Once you get back I'll introduce you to Natalie, okay?"

"Alright. Let me just finish this up and I'll be on my way."

The restaurant Sinclair said to go to was nice. Small but overall nice. It had a cozy warm feeling to the place and made you feel at home. As you were waiting in line you saw a couple. A blonde haired woman and a brunette haired man walked in together.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary until they started making out in line. Not only were they making out but they had also cut in front of you. Seriously? The nerve of these people. The line wasn't long or anything but you were just disgusted that people would do that.

The line went by quickly and soon it was only you and the couple in front of you. They had stopped making out but were still super touchy with each other. Oh to be in love like them. The man had ordered and the woman didn't, saying that she had to meet someone for lunch in a bit. They quickly got out of line and you ordered. Hopefully this is fine.

"Hey Sinclair, I got the food." You said as you walked into his office. He had his back turned and the woman next to him did too. Why does she look so familiar? Sinclair turned around with a smile, the woman staying with her back facing you.

"Y/n, come. Set the food down on my desk." He said and you listened, slowly walking over to the couple from the desk.

"I want you to meet my wife, Natalie." He said as Natalie turned around.

Oh shit.

You immediately recognized her, she was the woman from the restaurant. The one who was making out with another man. The one who was all touchy feely with someone that wasn't Sinclair.

Oh my fuck. Why do I have to be the one with this information?

"Hi y/n. It's so nice to meet you." She said as she took your hand in hers and shook it. You were completely dumbfounded but tried your best not to let your emotions show and shook her hand.

"Likewise Natalie. Did you just get here?" You said with a smile. Disgusting.

"Oh yes I was just with my brother before I came actually." She said as she clung to Sinclair's side.

What a pathetic excuse.

"Oh so you and Richard were catching up?"

"You know Richard?" She asked, a little confused as to how you knew him.

"Not personally but Sinclair was telling me a little bit about him. And you of course."

"Richard and I recently reunited with each other after a few years so it was nice to see him. We look nothing alike though. He has brown hair but we share the same eye color."

Why is she describing the man from the restaurant? Aren't cheaters supposed to be lying about their side piece?

"Are you talking about me Natalie?" A voice said from behind you. You turned around and, sure enough, standing right in front of you was the man from the restaurant.

"Speak of the Devil. Y/n, this is Richard. My brother."
