A/N~ The image above is what Sinclair's car looks like, at least what one of them looks like. Enjoy!

A week has passed. Which means that you've known about Natalie's incestuous affair for a week. Natalie had tried to set you up with Richard that day but you declined. The thought of going out with someone who had their tongue in their sister's mouth disgusted you. To your surprise, Sinclair had started to catch on that Natalie had someone on the side.

"I'm telling you y/n, I called Natalie's hotel and she wasn't registered there." Sinclair said as he pulled up a chair and sat down next to you at your desk.

"Maybe she just found another place to stay and she forgot to tell you." You said, looking down at the paper work in front of you.

Oh I'm going to hell. I should just tell him right?

"No, she didn't. I asked her how her stay was and she said it was fine. I... I know she's cheating on me y/n. What should I do?"

"Maybe we should go on a walk or a drive so that we can discuss this. But for now, let me finish my work." You said as you turned to face him.

"You know I'm your boss right? I can just take that work away from you and give it to someone else." He said with a smile.

"Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of having a secretary Sinclair?"

"Don't question my methods. Now, stop what you're doing and go on a drive with me." You rolled your eyes and turned back to the papers in front of you.

"Let me just finish-"

"No, we're going now." He grabbed your hand and pulled you out of your chair.

~

Sinclair's car is exactly how you pictured it. It was well kept, smelled almost brand new, and was expensive. He was taking you to the restaurant where you had bought food from last week, the same restaurant where you saw Natalie and her brother Richard making out.

"Are you sure you want to eat there?" You said as you turned in your seat to face him.

"I don't see why we shouldn't eat there. It's extremely close to work and the food is delicious." He said as he focused on the road.  It didn't take long for you to arrive and you were seated pretty fast. Sinclair says that he's been coming here ever since he started working as a stock analyst.

"I think it's time we should start talking about my situation y/n." He said looking down at his finished plate, resting his elbows on the table and leaning in slightly.

Crap crap crap crap.

"Alright. When did Natalie go on her business trip?"

"This past weekend. She said she went to Nuneaton and stayed at the Royal George Hotel but when I called they said she wasn't registered there. We had talked on the phone before and I asked her how the room was and such but nothing seemed off then. And when she came back, I asked where she had stayed and she said the Royal George." He said while he twiddled with his fingers.

You sighed. You knew that it was time to finally tell him.

"Sinclair, I saw Natalie. Last week when I came to pick up food here, right before you introduced us. She was in line with Richard and they were- they were kissing." You said, not able to look him in the eyes.

"Your joking right? She couldn't have done that. Are you sure you saw correctly? Maybe they were just people that looked like them-"

"Sinclair I saw it happen. I saw them walk in together and I saw what they did. They had cut in front of me while I was waiting in line and they were kissing." You interrupted.

He slunk back into his chair, processing what you just told him. You watched him closely as he turned to look out the window next to us. He took in a few deep breathes before he looked back at you.

"You've known about this for a week?" He asked slowly, crossing his arms.

"Y-yes I have."

"Why didn't you tell me y/n?" He uncrossed his arms and reached over the table, taking your hands in his.

"I-I don't know Sinclair. I thought about telling you that day but I just couldn't. I've never been put in a situation like this before. I'm so sorry Sinclair. I understand if you don't want me to be around you anymore or work for you. I supposed I should get going. Don't worry I'll walk." You said as you slipped your hands out of his and stood up.

"Y/n, you don't need to leave. I don't blame you. If anything I'm glad that you told me before things got out of hand. I'm not going to fire you or distance myself from you." He said as he stood up after you.

"Why not Sinclair. I didn't tell you about your cheating wife. I'm clearly not trust worthy."

"But you are. Anyone else would've kept quiet but you didn't. Come on, let's finish talking about this in the car." He reached into his pocket and drew out his wallet, left a couple of bills, and then walked out. You followed after and entered the car after him. You turned to face him and he did the same.

"Do I tell her y/n? Or do I wait to catch her in the act?"

"I say wait and then tell her that you knew the whole time."

"I suppose I should." He said as he turned the radio on. He turned to face the window, listening to the somewhat melancholy song, letting his feelings take over him.

My Funny Valentine. How funny. Right after I tell him that his wife is cheating on him, this song comes up.

"Sinclair, how are you so calm?"

"I don't know. I'm just managing or trying to at least. I've never been put in this situation too." He said with teary eyes and he turned to face you.

Stay little Valentine stay

Each day is Valentine's day

A/N~ Today marks five years since we lost an amazing man. Without him, I would still be in the dark place that I was in during September of last year. I wouldn't have written these fanfics that I love, meet new people, acknowledge the fact that I like older men, or be kind to myself if it wasn't for him. He's opened up so many doors for me and I couldn't be more thankful for him. I'll never forget the brilliant, wonderful, talented man that I have fallen in love with. Thank you Alan. We love and miss you.
