the sound of leaves crushing can be heard, two small silhouettes can be seen...
"a-anou shuu-san... where exactly are we going?" the young girl asked, completely clueless
the said boy answered with a giggle, "just wait, we're almost there"
they keep running until they stopped on the top of the mountain and there sat two boys who are bickering
"hah, i was the one who told you to-!" before the platinum haired finish his sentence, the nayvish haired spoke
"at least stop bickering with each other for now, it's almost new year yet your fight is still not over" the boy said as he looked at the girl beside him who's tugging his shirt like a lost child
"u-um... what exactly are we here for, shuu-san?" she asked
"well... oh! it's almost twelve!!"
he grabbed hikaru's wrist as they sat down beside the other two
her eyes wander around the area, but she can't see clearly due to the darkness. she held her necklace, it was glowing
a dark blue haired boy looked at her and said, "y-your necklace looks p-pretty..." he mentioned with a visible blush in his face
"arigatou, tsurugi-kun" she thanked him with a sweet smile
her hand let go of the necklace, "my mom gave it to me when we visited her hometown... it is our family heirloom"
shuu noticed the glowing necklace and moved closer to hikaru, "sugoi... i never knew that your necklace was actually glowing!!"
hikaru smiled with eyes close at the two boys as she notice a platinum haired looking at them with a rather bored look in his eyes as he sigh
they spent time eating, playing, and of course the fight between the two boys will never be over with shuu and hikaru as its spectators
"shuu-san-" "just call me shuu"
she cleared her throat before speaking, "s-shuu, what are we waiting for?"
"we can see the fireworks here clearly!!" shuu explain as she nodded
a loud sound was heard, " look!!"
hikaru looked at where shuu's finger was pointed at, "sugoi!"
"ha? what's so amazing with fireworks, you see them every year" hakuryuu mentioned
the said girl looked at him, "ever since the gracefield orhpanage took me in, i never saw fireworks this close"
"and why is that?"
"because there is a huge wall enclosing the orphanage" she said
"hm... so this is your first time seeing fireworks after 2 years?" shuu asked as the girl nodded
"and it's more fun watching it with friends!!" hikaru smiled at them
"hmph, friends my ass" hakuryuu crossed his arms, a faint blush visible in his face as well as tsurugi. shuu smiled at them
