[Wednesday.]
'It was so weird when I opened the door, Leigh.'
'Why?'
Every Wednesday, after school, Leigh-Anne and Perrie would take their children to the park. Leigh-Anne had a two years old daughter, Penny, but most of the time cared for Callum, her nephew, who was Blake's best friend.
The girls were sat on the bench watching the children run around.
'He wasn't at all what I was expecting! He's tall and quite handsome to be honest. When you think of social workers you think of mean old ladies or pretty girls with a constant resting bitch face. Trust me, you do not think of... him.'
'Oh my god! You, Perrie Edwards, said that someone's handsome! I think I've never heard you saying someone's good looking since you and Blake moved back to London.'
'I don't exactly have time to go out and look for men, do I?!'
'So did you have butterflies in your tummy when you saw him?' Leigh-Anne teased her friend.
'I wouldn't said butterflies.. I definitely had flutters but not in my stomach... if you know what I mean!'
The two girls laughed. 'Perrie!'
'What?!'
'I get it, though. You haven't been laid in what, three years?'
'Pretty much.'
'You need to get yourself a good vibrator girl. If you chose the right one, it can do miracles for you!'
'I don't even have time to masturbate, Leigh. If I'm not at work or working in general, I'm with Blake. When I'm in bed, I'm with Blake. When I'm in the shower... well, ninety eight percent of the time, Blake comes budging in! Hopefully, in the new house...'
'New house?! What?!' Leigh-Anne shouted at her friend excitedly.
'Yeah, that's what I wanted to tell you about the social worker's visit.'
'Go on, spill it!'
'So, he said everything's good, he's not concerned about Blake at all. The only issues are the house we live in and our finances in general. He said he's gonna try to help us get a council house as we cannot live in a studio flat any longer. He's also gonna check up on us to make sure I'm handling my workload fine.'
'Pez, that would be amazing. Imagine you and Blake in a place you can call HOME.'
'I know, Leigh. That would be brilliant. One less thing to worry about. He really was great. He made both me and Blake feel so comfortable around him. I'd be forever grateful if he can do something for our situation.'
'You know what I still can't believe?' Leigh-Anne took a sip of her now cold coffee. 'That Jade Thirlwall rat you out to the head teacher!'
'I know right?!' Perrie nodded, crossly.
'Isn't it weird? We used to be so close when we were little, before you moved to Newcastle. And now she's your son's teacher.'
'And she reported me to social services.'
'Sneaky little snake.'
'I don't know though, Leigh. If it wasn't for her, we wouldn't even be here talking about the possibility for me and Blake to move into a bigger place.'
'True, but it could've end up in a disaster, P. You were lucky to find such an understanding person. Some people are not that lucky...'
The girl called their children over and started to walk towards Leigh-Anne's house.
'How come you and Jade stopped hanging out together?' Perrie asked.
'I don't know, really. Just different circles of friendships, I guess. We remained friends for a year or so after you moved, then she met Ben and all his posh friends and suddenly I wasn't good enough.'
'Aww, you'll always be the best in my eyes. I can't believe Jade and Ben met when they were, what? Fourteen, fifteen? And now they're married!'
'Imagine being that lucky!'
Perrie smiled and jokingly hit her best friend. 'You can't talk, really! Things between you and Andre are great, aren't they?'
Leigh-Anne smiled back. 'You're right, I am quite lucky too. I'm just more and more in love with him everyday. He works so hard for me and Penny, and Callum too. He's just... the best!'
'You deserve it. Especially for putting up with my drama for so long!' Perrie sighed.
'You'll get your happy ending.'
Arrived in front of Leigh-Anne's door, the kids said goodbye.
'Are you sure you don't want to come in?'
'No sorry, Mrs. Cowell's coming over to get her money.'
Leigh rolled her eyes. 'When is this gonna end?!'
'You know them... they're not gonna be happy until they get all their money back. Until the last penny. See you later, love you.'Perrie and Blake just got home when someone knocked at the door. Perrie whispered under her breath 'Oh, there she is.'
She then opened the door to a lady in her fifties, very well dressed, who looked at Perrie up and down.
'Hello, Mrs. Cowell.'
'Hi Perrie. How are you?'
'We're good thanks. Did you want to come in?'
'No, thank you love. I don't have much time.'
Perrie, annoyed, passed the lady a white paper envelop. 'There you go then.'
The lady smiled, the immediately opened the envelop to count the money inside.
'Don't mean to be rude, love, but there's fifty pound missing this month.'
'I know, I'm sorry. But as I explained to your husband, I've had some unexpected expenses this month and...'
'Sorry, Perrie, but I find it hard to believe. There has been plenty of excuses for the past couple of months. You still owe us almost three thousand pound. We've been understanding enough.'
'Mrs. Cowell, if only...'
'You've got one month to come up at least with half the money. Sorry, Perrie, but we'll have to take you to court if you don't. It has been long enough. Have a nice evening.'
Mrs. Cowell left before Perrie could even close the door. She felt extremely frustrated and couldn't help but shed a few tears, before quickly drying them up when Blake went to join her.
'Why are you sad, mummy?'
'I'm not. It's okay.'
'Mrs. Cowell is a witch. She always makes you sad.'
Perrie couldn't help but laugh at her five-years-old son's remark. Blake then passed Perrie her phone.
'Your phone beeped, mummy.'
Perrie was surprised she didn't hear it, even though she was talking to Mrs. Cowell.1 missed call
