[Wednesday.]

'Mrs. White, Mrs. Thirlwall.'
Perrie entered the office and sat on the brown chair on the other side of the desk where Blake's teacher and head master were sitting already.
'Miss Edwards, it's lovely to see you again. Thank you for taking the time to fill us in.'
'My pleasure.' Perrie smirked, impatient to tell them all about how they were wrong about her and Blake.
'I've heard your case worker is very impressed with you and all the positive changes you've been making for yourself and for Blake in the last couple of weeks. We are so glad everything worked out so well for the both of you.'
'Well, all of those changes were already a work on progress, if you only would have give me the time...' Perrie showed a fake smile before continuing. 'The new job is going really well and I'm getting the keys to our new house tomorrow. So as you can see, nothing to worry about, really.'
'Well, we're really happy for you, Miss Edwards. Hopefully we won't have to waste anymore of your time from now on.' The principal said with a smug look on her face, whilst Jade remained silent, almost scared to look a Perrie straight in the eyes.
Perrie said her goodbyes and made her way out, ready to collect Blake.

'I can't believe you're moving.' Leigh-Anne said whilst rolling some cups in newspaper.
'I'm starting to shit myself, Leigh, not gonna lie.'
Perrie closed the first box.
'What?! Why!'
'All this moving situation...'
'I'm here to help, don't worry about it.' Leigh-Anne looked around. 'And... let's face it, hun. We'll be done packing in half an hour. Apart from Blake's toys and your clothes, you've got pretty much nothing!'
'That's what scares me the most. I have to come up with something before Saturday. And it's Wednesday night. What are the odds that I'm gonna find a fridge, washing machine and two beds in between working and nurturing my needy child?' Perrie laughed. 'Oh, and I forgot the most important part. I'm penniless.'
Leigh thought for a moment, then came up with a plan. 'I know. Andre's got a day off tomorrow and is taking Penny and Callum to the cinema after school. I'm sure he won't mind taking Blake too, so we can go charity shop hunting.'
'How exciting!' Perrie remarked sarcastically. 'Thank you, though. That would really help.'
The girls kept packing Perrie's belonging, naming boxes and chucking broken or useless staff away.
'You know who I saw yesterday?'
'Who?' Perrie asked interested.
'Jesy Nelson.'
'Oh, really? I thought she moved to Wales ages ago.'
'She's back, apparently.'
'Did you speak to her?'
'Yes.' Leigh-Anne stopped packing and sat down to give her friend the last gossip. 'So, she told me her mom and Dean broke up a few months ago...'
'No way! I'm so sorry for them.'
'Yes, I know, such a shame. Anyway, she said that her mum wanted to come back here since she didn't have any more reasons to stay in Wales and you know how Jesy and her mum are so attached to each other, so she came back with her. I told her you came back as well a couple of years ago. We should totally get together for a girls night some time soon!'
'Definitely! Sounds like a plan to me! Just let me settle down in my new place and we'll organise something.'
'Great, I'll tell her. Although I must warn you... the first person she got in contact with once she came back was...'
'Jade Thirlwall!' The girls said at the same time.
Perrie continued. 'Great. So we have to have little Miss Judgy on our girls night?'
'Oh c'mon. Stop it now. It would be just a dinner, I'm sure you two could put all your personal issues aside just for one night. For old times sake. We all used to be so close. Do you remember all the afternoons spent in your mum's garage pretending to be pop stars?' Leigh-Anne laughed whilst the blonde rolled her eyes. 'Yeah, okay... I get it. I'll make an effort.'
'Good girl. And whilst we're talking about Jesy...'
Perrie could tell by her friend's tone that she was up to something. She sighed. 'What now?'
'You know she's seeing someone?'
'How was I supposed to know? I haven't talked to her since we were in year 10.'
'That's not the point. She's only been here for two months and she's already found someone. You've been here for three years and...'
'I'm not listening to you.'
'Well, you should! You should get yourself on Tinder.'
'I don't believe in dating apps. Is that we're she found her "new man"? Charming...'
'I'm just saying, you should give it a shot. Yes, maybe you won't find the love of your life through a dating app, but at least you'd get out there, have a bit of fun. Take back your life.'
'I don't know. I don't want to think about it now...' Perrie hesitated one moment before asking her friend for a favour. 'But actually, there is something I need to talk to you about. Please don't get mad...'
Leigh raised her eyebrow. 'If it's what I'm thinking... I will get mad. I'm already mad, in fact.'
'Leigh, I have to do it. He's getting so insistent and I really can't afford to lose this job.'
'This is so wrong! Can't you report him or something?'
'As I said, I can't lose this job. It's just a dinner and hopefully I'll make it very clear that I'm not into this kind of stuff and he'll leave me alone.'
'He's married. You could lose your job anyway. I don't trust him.'
'Me neither, but what else can I do?'
'So what do you want from me?' Leigh-Anne was clearly annoyed at her friend.
'Can you have Blake next Friday?'
