Lonlier Than Before

It was a monday morning. I was

waiting for my uncle to take me to

school as both my parents were busy.

It was two days after my annual

examination and I was supposed to

take my answer scripts to school

since exams were held online

because of the current COVID-19

pandemic. It was getting late but ya!

uncle came when it was just about to

be time and I reached school at the

last hour. I was pretty excited to go to

go to school after a break of about 10

months. I was hoping to meet my

friends and have a little chat with

them. There, my school looked pretty

much lonlier than I had ever

imagined. I was late and so all my

friends were gone. I could see only a

few teachers and the lone school. The

ground that used to be filled with

screams and shoutings of teachers at

the notorious and crazy students

running in and out is now like an

abandoned house. Then I went to the

other side of my school. It was as

bright as ever. A part of the ground

was covered with tins on the small

iron pillars. Oh! There were a lot of

changes out there. The place was

colder than before, under the shade

of the two big trees and it was

breezing like a whistle. Seeing all

those, felt like climbing up the stairs

at an instant and start playing in the

science lab like I once did before.
