At this point, Kaylen was too ready to slap a relaxer back into her head.

She'd been natural close to 5 months before she went ahead and did the big chop just a month before the new school year started. And it's fair to say Kaylen greatly underestimated how many hair products she would need, most likely due to the fact she initially kept protective styles in her head rather than dealing with her transitioning hair.

They were now only a couple of weeks into the school year and her products were running low very fast. And it wasn't like she could just go to Hogsmeade for natural hair care products because there definitely weren't any.

Kaylen was now expressing these frustrations to her boyfriend of over a year, Neville Longbottom. The couple was currently in the greenhouse, Neville having permission from Professor Sprout to do herbology research and Kaylen being his faithful assistant.

"I'm just saying there's a fair number of black witches and wizards, you would think we would be better represented in the oh-so-great Hogsmeade. Maybe I should just start over and cut it all off.", Kaylen huffed as she crossed her arms and leaned against the table Neville was working on.

He looked up from his paper at his beautiful girlfriend and just studied her features before an idea came to his head. "Well I could make some products for you. I suspect it's not too hard, I'll just have to do a bit of research."

Kaylen moved from her standing position and sat on Neville's lap. "Are you serious Nev? Could you really?"

"I'm pretty sure.", Neville said with a small smile on his face.

"But I don't want you adding this to your plate. Between classes, the other research that you're doing-"

"It's fine. Kaylen I know how important this whole process has been to you so it's important to me too. It took a lot for you to cut you hair and go the harder route and I respect that so much. So if I can help I will.", Neville said while looking into Kaylen's eyes before pecking her lips.

Kaylen couldn't help the smile that stretched out onto her face. "You're the best boyfriend ever Neville Longbottom. How did I get so lucky?"

He shrugged with a now red face before answering, "I don't know, I usually ask myself how did I get so lucky."

A week later, Kaylen was sitting in Gryffndor's common room with Ginny and Hermione when Neville walked in. He walked over to his girlfriend with a brown paper bag in hand.

"Hi Nev.", Kaylen beamed.

"Hello Beautiful. I have something for you."

This made Kaylen cock an eyebrow. "What is it?"

Instead of answering Neville handed her the brown paper bag which proved to be quite heavy. Kaylen proceeded to look into the bag and pulled out 1 of the many jars. The substance in it was a light brown color and seemed to have some type of cut up herb throughout it. It wasn't until Kaylen looked into the bottom of it that she seen it was labeled 'grease'.

"This is an Indian hemp I blended with different oils and I figured it would be the best type hair grease you said you needed. I also got you the curling pudding, shampoo, conditioner, detangling cream, oil blend, and edge control. I'm working on the hair mask you asked for right now but I couldn't wait to show you what I already did.", Neville said with a red tint on his cheek most likely due to Ginny and Hermione's coos and awws.

Kaylen wanted to cry at this point. She couldn't believe he did all of this in just a week and out the kindness of his heart.

She got up and set down the bag before jumping into Neville's arms and hugging him tightly. Neville of course caught her and wrapped his arms around her as well.

"I love you.", Kaylen whispered into the now beet red boy's neck.

"I love you too.", Neville whispered back against Kaylen's temple.
