Rose Green appeared in a crowded trainstation, a trunk next to her. She looked around, confused. A second ago she was in an airport heading to Minnesota, U.S.A.

Seeing the new looking trunk next to her, she noticed a letter written on thick parchment. She picked it up and realized it was addressed to her. She turned it over and noticed a red wax seal with a 'H' on it. She slowly opened it and pulled out the note to read it.

To Rose Green
5/2/2015
Dear Ms. R. Green,
Sorry for no advance notice. This year you will be attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as a sixth year. You are now in the year of 1945. The trunk has all of your supplies and you can find your wand in your back pocket.
Sorry for the inconvenience,
Headmistress Minerva McGonagall

Rose shook her head in disbelief and put the letter away. She could not believe that she was sent back in time. What about her family? Her friends? Could she ever make it back to her time, 2015? She made her way to the Hogwarts Express, a maroon colored train at platform 9 3/4. She heaved her trunk onto the train, the pulled herself on after it.

Making her way to an empty compartment, not looking where she was going, she bumped into a tall, dark haired boy, with the greenest eyes she had ever seen.

"Sorry," she murmured, before trying to go around the boy.

"Watch it, Mudblood!" the boy sneered. Mudblood was an insult to muggle-borns, but Rose was a pureblood and wanted it to be known.

She spun around and glared at the boy, "I'll have you know that I am a proud pureblood!"

The boy looked at her, surprised, "Who are you? I haven't seen you around here."

Rose huffed, her glare softening, "My name's Rose Green, I'm a transfer student, a sixth year. I'm from America, Maryland in fact. Who might you be?"

"Tom Riddle, sixth year, Slytherin," he stated proudly, holding his head up high. She understood his attitude right away, he was Voldemort's younger self. She found it a little creepy how someone so good looking could become so evil. Tom already held an aura of power, she could tell why he got so many followers.

"That explains it," she thought out loud, before realizing it.

"Explains what?" Tom asked curiously.

"Nothing, bye!" she said quickly walking off without noticing her letter on the floor.

Tom slowly bent down and picked up the letter, curious, he opened it and read what it said. When he was finished a slow, evil smile came to his face. He had found his way to power, someone who knew the future.

Rose saw a compartment that had a girl about her age inside reading. She opened the door and asked if she could sit. The girl gladly welcomed her. After a few seconds of awkward silence the girls began to talk to each other.

"Hi! I'm Minerva McGonagall. I haven't seen you around, are you new?" The girl asked. Rose laughed in her head, so this was the witch that sent her to the past.

"Yes, I am a transfer student from America. My name is Rose Green," Rose said smiling.

"You'll love it at Hogwarts, I hope you are in Gryffindor, that's the house I'm in."

"I hope, that no matter what house I am in, even Slytherin, that we'll be friends," Rose said hopefully.

"Of course!" exclaimed Minerva. Rose looked at the Gryffindor, she had long black hair tied up in a bun, and glasses on her nose. Her eyes were a kind silver color.

Rose looked at her reflection in the window. She saw her soft long brown hair, icy blue eyes, and ivory colored skin looking back. She was 5'5" and thought she looked average. Her breast weren't huge, but not small either. She wasn't super curvy, yet you could still see her curves.

As the two girls talked about what they liked, which included Quidditch. Rose found out Minerva was a Chaser for the Gryffindor team, and Rose told Minerva how she was a great Keeper and was going to tryout for that position.

By the time the train stopped it was dark out. Minerva led Rose to the carriages, going by the first years who were making their way to the boats on the shore. When they got in the carriages and they started to move Rose asked what was pulling them. Minerva told her that the Thestrals were pulling the carriage.

When Rose saw the castle she gasped, it was huge and looked magical, which it was of course. The stone castle stood tall on the shores of a lake. The carriages pulled up to the gates and the students got off. Rose followed everyone into the Great Hall. As people were taking their seats, a hand grabbed her wrist. She turned around to see Tom there, holding her letter in his hand.

"You dropped this, I believe," Tom smirked handing it to her.

Rose snatched it and glared at Tom, "Did you read? I swear if you read it ---"

"Calm down, I didn't read it. You left it on the ground. You're lucky that I even thought to give that back to you," said Tom coldly before leaving Rose standing there surprised. Rose did not believe Tom for a second, he would have read it, she told herself.

Trying to forget it she realized that she was the only one left standing and everyone was staring at her. Holding down a blush she pretended that she was supposed to be standing there, hoping she was right. The teachers stared at her, slightly confused as to why there was a new student among them that wasn't a first year.

Headmaster Dippet smiled down at her, "Ah, Rose Green, I believe. Welcome to Hogwarts. You will be sorted before the first years. Professor Dumbledore will be bring them here soon. For now you can stay standing where you are."

Rose was happy that she was where she was supposed to be, not just standing there like a buffoon. It was about thirty seconds before Dumbledore entered with the first years. He waited next to them as the sorting hat sung his song. Rose was too nervous to pay any attention to the song, she was worried about what house she would be put into.

When he got to the front he introduced her, "This year we will be having a new student among us. She is coming all the way from America so please welcome her greatly. Ms. Green are you ready to be sorted?"

Rose nodded quickly and sat down on an old three legged stool. An old, patched hat was placed onto her head.

Ah, a student of the future I see. Don't worry I will not tell anyone. Now lets see where you belong. You are witty and smart like Ravenclaw. Daring and brave like Gryffindor. Yet you fit best in Slytherin, where the cunning and ambitious belong. Better be Slytherin! The sorting hat shouted the last part out. Rose sighed, upset not to be in the same house as her friend.

Rose made her way to the cheering green and silver table. When she got closer she noticed Tom waving her over, an empty seat next to him. Making her way towards him she noticed another seat farther away from Tom and his friends.

She was making her way past him when his hand shot out and grabbed her arm. "Where do you think you are going? There is a seat right here," Tom hissed, much like a snake.

"Yet there is another seat over there, in which I wish to sit. If you will please, release me, I want to go to my seat," Rose replied calmly.

"You will sit next to me!" Tom snarled, his green eyes flashing dangerously. Rose shivered in fear. The power Tom radiated made her want to do whatever he said. Knowing that she must resist she faced him.

"No I will not!" said Rose, yanking her arm out of his grasp. She walked to her desired seat, head held high, as many people watched he in shock. No student but a Gryffindor, even then most wouldn't, would dare disobey Tom Riddle.

For the rest of the feast she talked and made friends in the house of Slytherin.

I will not be updating often, since I am working on many books and am in high school.
