My Love Really Didn't Change

ARIZONA'S POV:

I woke up around 8am, before both Callie and Sofia which was not a surprise. Sofia was quite a hard sleeper, just like Callie. The only thing about Sofia is that she wakes up a little earlier than Callie does which I'm guessing is something she got from me. She caught onto both my routine and Callie's so she just blends in when her body feels its right. I slip put of bed and begin my morning routine. I start to hear rustling coming from the bed while standing in the bathroom curling my hair. I look out of the bathroom to see Sofia wide awake and ready to get up. I quietly walk over to Callie and slowly move her arm. "Zona" she says still asleep. "Shhhh baby I'm still here" I whisper in her ear. Sofia gets up and goes to her bathroom to get ready for the day. I decide to let Callie sleep in as long as she wants today because yesterday was really hard on her. Sofia came back into my room and sat on the bed with Callie. "Mommy when is Mama gonna get up?" Sofia asked concerned. I simply replied with an honest answer, "I don't know bubs, mama had a hard night last night and she deserves all the rest she can get". Sofia smiled and left the room to go watch some tv in the living room. I heard a whimper from the bathroom but thought it was just Callie trying to get comfortable in bed again. "No, no, no, no, no, zona please come back. let her go! let her go!" I heard Callie scream out in her sleep. Sofia came running in with a bat but stopped when she saw it was just her mama. "Callie baby wake up! wake up baby, wake up!" I said shaking Callie awake. She sat straight up screaming. I pulled her body to lay on mine and she tried to fight me off, "Callie baby it's me. It's Arizona honey!! It's me baby". She finally opened her eyes and then just began to sob on my chest. "Sofia baby go wait in the living room" I told Sofia more than asked.  "B-but mama.." she said almost in tears. I felt my body soften, "go get changed back into some comfy clothes, and after you finish get mama's favorite blanket out of the hall closet. Can you do that for me?". Sofia nodded her head yes and ran off to do everything I asked. I decided that after this nightmare we were just gonna have a slow and relaxed day. All of our friends are flying in from Seattle to stay for a week or two. Apparently someone hacked into the system, and adding on with that there has been a gas leak so they had to shut down the whole hospital. Callie relaxed and her body just laid limp in mine. "How about I get you into a nice warm bath, hm?". She just nodded her head, so I got up with her in my arms. I sat her on the toilet and got her undressed, starting the bath I add in the Epson salt to help relax her body. Just as she gets in the bath the door bell rings and I get a text from the group chat saying they were outside. We live in a mansion so they will all be staying here with us. "SURPRISE" they all screamed loudly. "SHHHHHHH Callie isn't having the best morning, I need a few of you to stay and entertain Sofia, and I need a few of you to come help me with Callie". They all immediately nodded. They put the loads of breakfast down on the table, and we all talked about who would do what. Amelia, Owen, Link, Jo, and Teddy went to stay and entertain Sofia with some tv and food. Maggie, Meredith, Bailey and I all went back into Callie and I's bedroom. Walking straight into the bathroom I saw Callie with her eyes closed. "Callie honey, are you awake?" I questioned kind of worried. She opened her eyes and gave me a small smile. I smiled back and began telling her what was going on so she wasn't frightened, "everyone is here. Bailey, Meredith, and Maggie are waiting in our bedroom probably laying on the bed chatting about God knows what. Everyone else is hanging out with Sofia and eating breakfast". She simply nodded her head and began standing up from the tub. After Callie got dressed, she came out of the bathroom looking kind of pale. Everyone noticed and immediately began to worry but didn't say anything without me speaking first. "Callie honey, are you feeling okay?" she looked kind of woozy. She shook her head but laid down anyway. After a while of sitting in silence she spoke, "I'm getting hungry". Mer, Bailey, and Maggie all jumped up running to the kitchen to make her a plate of food. By the time they came back she had three plates full of food with everything on them. Callie laughed at how much food they made and we all ate in the bedroom. About an hour later Sofia and everyone else came into our bedroom, they decided to relax with Callie and I. Sofia picked out a tv show and we all got comfortable on our huge bed. Callie snuggled into my neck and started to fall back asleep.

SOFIA'S POV:

Mama fell back to sleep while aunty Mer braided her hair. Mama always liked to get her hair braided when she couldn't sleep because it relaxed her. Even though she would take it out afterwards, mommy said she loved it. I heard mama start coughing in her sleep but stopped once mommy started to pat and rub her back. One thing about Mama, is that she is very pure. She's always there for others and never takes care of herself. The only time she really stopped, was when mommy forced her to. I'm a lot older now so I understand more than others think. I mean growing up around surgeons taught me more than an average 7 year old. I knew words at the age of 5 that only adults would know. I'm really happy that mommy and mama are back together. It's a lot more fun to have both of my moms together. Plus they both seem very happy, last night was the first night mama slept. I was kinda sad she had a bad dream this morning but other than that everything else was fine.

CALLIE'S POV:

I woke up to the sound of rustling. Whimpering I turned onto my back trying to figure out who was moving. "Whoever is moving please stop, I'm trying to sleep but I can't do it if you are moving all over the bed" I said in a raspy and not very good voice. "Sorry" someone said quickly apologizing. I roll back over and curl up into Arizona's side. I feel her fingertips go over my arm and before I know it, my eyes are getting heavy.

ARIZONA'S POV:

Watching Callie sleep was the best sight. I still couldn't believe I was laying in bed with her. After everything we've been through, it felt like I would never get to have these moments back. After a while of Callie sleeping I saw the paleness in her face come back and immediately it looked as if she was going to be sick.
