The next morning was a long fight with myself to get out of bed. The exhaustion of not getting to bed till midnight was not smart. I fought with my intuition for almost an hour to get up and moving.
When I did I got myself in and out of the warm, soothing shower. I blow-dried my hair before going to my dresser to pick out my outfit for today and later tonight.
The boys were pretty fancy so I figured that I might as well play the part even if my dresses were just from high school rather than the Gucci and Louis store.
I put on a pair of black corduroy mom pants, as well as an old, burgundy crew-neck from urban outfitters. I dug through boxes to try and find a dress even suitable for dinner. I finally came across a little white dress, it was definitely the most flattering, as well as comfortable one I could find.
I knew that if I was going to make it on time for work that It was going to have to do. I quickly slipped on my converse, my coat, and beanie before slipping out the door. I had no choice but to walk today, my cash had strung low and I knew that It was going to be a wait before I had any.
The very idea of asking my parents for the smallest amount of money made me feel physically ill. I also didn't want to ask about a paycheck from the boys, I didn't want to seem money crazy, even though I could have everything taken away from me in a blink if I wasn't careful.
I walked down the sidewalk, watching cars go by here and there. The weather got colder and colder every day, granted it was November. It was only a matter of days before the snow would fall.
I made it to the alley, I walked down and up to the door. I knocked and hugged myself to hold in any heat I had to offer.
Jonah opened the door. "You're early." He said opening the door more for me. I nodded and walked in. I quickly took off my jacket and hat, setting them down as Jonah relatched the door.
"Where is everyone else?" I asked, grabbing my phone out of my purse then finally looking at him.
"They went to get breakfast, I offered to come here just in case you happened to show up since you don't text anyone your plans." He smirked to himself as he walked back to the studio portion of the building.
I rolled my eyes before following. "You're hilarious, last time I checked you never gave me any of your guys' numbers," I sat down in a chair.
"How am I supposed to know you won't give it to some friend of yours?" He immediately laughed after his comment. I glared at him. "What was the laugh for?" I crossed my arms.
"Oh come on, you clearly don't have a friend to give our numbers to." He took my phone out of my hand and put his number in.
"You know, for being some lovable, boy band guy, you're kind of an ass." I scoffed.
He let out another laugh. "I think it is hilarious that you have about twenty contacts including me." I watched him start to go through my phone.
"Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook? why on earth-" Jonah said as scroll through my phone.
"Jonah stop, give it back." I got up walking over as he immediately moved away. "Twitter, Tinder? really?" He laughed as I furrowed my brows, reaching for my phone, yet again.
"Let's see what your profile." He pressed on the app and started looking through it. "Twenty-One, Writer, NYC, I see you have some unopened messages." He smirked at me as he slid over to the messaging portion.
"Jonah I said stop, this isn't funny." I kept trying to grab it as he continued to jerk it away. He kept laughing as my cheeks only got redder with frustration.
I heard the steel door open as I looked back, still trying to grab my phone. Before I knew it, I had tripped over and onto his lap, finally being able to grab my phone.
"Hey guys, we are back-" Corbyn stepped into the recording area. "Are we interrupting something?" He asked as I quickly got up, flustered. Jonah smirking at the damage he had done. "No not at all, Someone woke up and chose to be a complete ass." I scoffed before sitting back in my own chair.
The rest of the boys walked in, sitting down. "Are you sure we didn't interrupt anything?" Zach laughed. I noticed that Daniel had been awfully uncomfortable since the second he saw me pooled upon Jonah's lap. I shrugged it off and got straight to work.
"I told you guys she was a clutz." He smirked at me, he looked at me like I was a jester only here for his entertainment. He loved every second of me doing nothing but embarrassing myself. I could hardly contain the anger.
We were able to write some good useable lyrics. Nightfall came and everyone made their way out. I knew that I was going to get back at that jerk tonight and embarrass him in some way too. I had no idea how, but I would figure it out.
