After Jimin and Yuna left, the doctor did his usual checks to make sure everything was okay before sitting in the chair next to the bed. 

“Hello Miss Lee I’m Dr. Moonbin.”The doctor introduced himself extending his hand. “I’ll be your doctor during your stay here.” 

Soojin shook his hand. 

“How are you feeling? Anything unusual?” He asked, checking his clipboard.

“Not really just a little bit of pain,” Soojin answered clutching her stomach.  Dr. Moonbin nodded and wrote something in his notes. 

“That's normal considering your bruises.” He said looking up at Soojin. They were healing but she was in such bad shape when she arrived. “May I ask how you received them?”

Soojin looked down at her hands avoiding the doctors gaze.  

"Dont want to tell me?" Dr. Moonbin asked after Soojin remained quiet.  

"I-I fell down some stairs…" Soojin spoke up after several minutes. "Clumsy me, I should be careful." 

Dr. Moonbin raised an eyebrow, not believing her lie at all.  He has been in this field a while and has seen many injuries and ailments imaginable so of course he has seen someone who actually did fall down some stairs so he knows the difference quite well. Those weren't caused by stairs but unfortunately it wasn't his place to pry. 

"Pretty nasty fall," Dr. Moonbin said, pushing up his glasses. "Luckily your friends were there to help." 

There she goes again lying to people who were just trying to help her. Will she ever break this habit? 

Dr. Moonbin stood up. 

"That should be it," he said, turning to leave. "I'll be back to check on you later." 

"Doctor?!" Soojin called out stopping Dr. Moonbin at the door. "When can I leave?" 

Soojin hated hospitals and would try to avoid them at all costs. Not just because they would've asked questions about her bruises but because of not so pleasant experiences in the past.

“Well your injuries were quite severe so we’d like to keep you for a little bit and keep watch so maybe a couple days or so.” He answered. 

Not the answer she wanted to hear but she nodded letting him know she understood. Dr. Moonbin gave her a small smile before walking out the door to tend to another patient.

Soojin was alone for a bit but not for long. Shortly after the Doctor left someone knocked on the closed door. 

“Come in!” Soojin yelled letting them know it was okay to enter. 

The door slowly opened and a man tentatively walked into the room. 

“Hi miss I’m sorry for intruding,” The man said bowing. “I’m Heo Chan from Seoul Police Department.”

Soojin looked at the man. He wasn't wearing a uniform at all. 

“You’re a police officer?” She asked with a  furrowed brow.  

Chan looked down at his attire and laughed nervously. 

“I’m actually off duty but my boss forced me to come since I was in the area.” He explained taking his badge out of his pocket. “I’m not some creep I promise.”
