"I don't want your last memory to be my dead," My younger brother broke the silence Rebekah left us in as he sat down on the benches we spoke so many moons ago to each other. Talking about the fate of our family. "So let's please not say the sad goodbye."

"I agree," I answered. "Let's not."

Knowing very well what I am going to do. Knowing that I will follow Niklaus to the depths of hell or towards the ray lights of peace. Even though I don't believe peace is ever an option for us.

I took out the white oak stake and broke it into two pieces one for me and one for him.

"I don't want to disappoint you sister," Niklaus started with tears in his eyes to the point of crying. "But the stake will be just as effective in a shorter form."

"I am aware," I called out.

"So you want to hold on to a piece as a souvenir?" My brother asked me with disbelief.

I sat down next to my younger brother and looked him in the eye and told him what has been on my mind since the moment was known that he was to die. "I intend to die by your side."

"I am dying you are not. The moment I am dead you are free," Niklaus stated trying to change my mind.

"Free of what?" I asked him knowing the answer he is going to give me. "Free of the mad king brother. You could do whatever your heart desires," Niklaus told me not knowing that I made my choice and was intending to go on with it.

"This is my heart's desire," I told him he got a look of not understanding as he was the one who daggered us, stopped us in boxes and used us, but loved us the most.

"Niklaus we didn't choose to become what we are," I told my younger brother. "To be or not to be was taken from us by Esther and Mikael stolen from us, Niklaus."

"I'm stealing it back," I told him. "Brother tonight I truly saw a path, I saw a vision of future for everyone that we love and then when I looked at my own future... The purpose of my life my unrelenting desire has always been your redemption."

"And after everything I've done," Niklaus began falling silent for a few seconds. "You truly believe I am redeemed?"

"Yes I do," I told my younger brother. "You're a hypocrite," Niklaus told me. "You forced me to go through all those painful goodbyes and then... Then you slipped away without telling a soul."

"How well do you know me, Niklaus?" I asked my younger brother.

"I told them. I told them I was going to give another redefine to always and forever," I told him. "That, uh, I was gonna follow you from this and venture into whatever that lies beyond."

"Each of them gave me their blessing," I told him. "What about Hope?" My younger brother asked me.

"She will have Marcel, Rebekah and Freya. I even looked Kol in the eye and I told him that if he doesn't look after her, I'll come back and haunt him," I told him with a soft smile on my face.

"She is the very best of me," Klaus told me. "Yes, she is," I answered him.

"What if there's nothing after this?" Klaus asked me. "No peace, just darkness."

"We face it together," I stated.

I stood up my younger brother not far after. "As always," I told him.

"I don't deserve the love you've given me, sister," Klaus told me. "But I am so grateful."

"It's been a glorious ride Niklaus," I told my younger brother and smiled sadly at him. "My greatest honour."

We pointed the stakes to each other's hearts and looked each other in the eye while we both trust the white oak stake in each other's hearts. I saw the effects on himself and felt them on myself.

I saw his body getting chipped away slowly and every moment in my life flashed by with Niklaus as the last thing I see until I see nothing but darkness.

Hi everyone, I originally was going to put this online earlier, but because I cried too much while writing it I couldn't get through the damned episode, but here is the long-awaited prologue.
