SYNOPSIS

MISS JULIETTE VILLENEUVE often spent her childhood summers in London with her aunt and uncle, Lady and Lord DuBois. Although born in France, the beauty of London captivated her heart and her soul. She was especially enamoured by her dear friend, a certain Bridgerton boy. However, her summers of bliss came to a sudden halt once Lady Villeneuve, her dear mother, passed away from an abrupt and unforeseen illness. The passing of her mother caused tremendous pain for the Villeneuve family. Her father, Lord Villeneuve, mourned the loss of his one true love, that is until he too became a ghost in Juliette's life. His presence faded as he indulged himself in his duties, ignoring his daughter.

Three years after Lady Villeneuve's untimely death, Juliette finds herself back on London soil in midst of the social season. She was quested by her father to find a husband under the care and advisement of Lord DuBois. Albeit, her return to the city she once wholeheartedly cherished was not a bearer of immense delight for the young girl. Instead, she was ridden with bitterness and a solemn ache in the heart.

The eldest Bridgerton son, Anthony, was at the root of these adverse feelings. Her once dear friend and keeper of her heart halted all communication after her mother's passing. The letters corresponded during Juliette's time in France which were in great abundance for many years, dwindled to nothing as Anthony simply failed to respond.

Anthony too became a ghost dwelling in Juliette's life.

She despised him for it.
