"That is wayyyy to much stuff, you won't need half of it." I stated to Cherry who was currently trying, and failing, to put all her belongings into 2 suitcases.

"How do you eve-"

"May I remind you, it's literally your house and you really need something you can borrow mine or we will get you a new one okay?" I suggested.

"Fineeee. But I'm bringing my hair curler and my laptop." I nodded. I had no problem with those things. The ones I was more worried about was her thousands of shoes, makeup products and multiple pants I knew she would try to sneak in. I decided to tie my hair into a messy bun and fixed my clothes a bit as helping this maniac pack was difficult. I had a cute black polka-dot square neck puff shoulder top, my favourite pair of high waisted faded jean shorts.

I was honestly excited toget away for a while. Last week we had our Grad ceremony, it was lovely,Cherry's parents face timed the whole thing since they couldn't be there. Itwas funny watching my mum hold the phone for them and talk to them whilst beingso confused how the technology works. She made me promise to be extra carefulwhen I'm away and not to make bad decisions. I know she just wants the best for me.

We loaded the car with our suitcases and began the drive to Cherry's parents' house, of course not without a stop to pick up Brodie on our way there. As he didn't want to waste any extra fuel going there and back if we were making the same trip'. I think he just wanted extra time to stare at Cherry, who could blame him. If I swung that way no other human would be allowed to look at Cherry other than me. But alas... Men.

Surprisingly when Brodie got into the car, he offered me a nice greeting and actually got treat for Cherry himself... and me. Wow, maybe this boy isn't that bad in the end. Cherry gave me a 'I told you so' smile as if she won. He was still annoying just maybe he wasn't such an imbecile. "I'm looking forward to seeing Jeremy again, I'll never forgive that dickhead for being older than me and leaving for Uni after he graduated. Selfish I tell you." Cherry chuckled at his joking manner.

Jeremy was 2 years older than all of us, it was surprising that he had stayed best friends with a guy not only in his younger sisters year but also one who doesn't go to the same schools as you. Jeremy decided to follow along with his parents wherever they would shift. While Cherry stayed in town with me, so Jeremy would go from high school to high school.

The drive was long, and the flirting was making me feel like I shouldn't be in their conversations. Every so often Brodie would drop a pickup line, whether they were good or not, interruption my conversations with Cherry. Like... No, bad boy. Mine.

"I'm fighting the urge to make you the happiest woman on earth tonight..." He said eyes gleaming at her.

I cut back in after getting cut off, "So anyway, it said all you had to do was add part 1-"

"Cherry you have something in your eye." She searched the mirror confused," Oh, wait it was just a sparkle." She blushed and looked straight back at the road. I'll give him that one, it might not have been great, but he did make her blush.
