It was like Lisa was in a dream. It couldn't be true. Lisa did not just get accepted to be one of her favorite idols backup dancer. No, impossible.
But, as her eyes stayed rooted onto her phone screen, re reading the acceptance email over and over again, and maybe even pinching her skin, she jumped up, screaming, squealing in excitement. She got it!
She's going to be Kim Jongin's back up dancer!
She called her friends, family, even told her cats that she was going to be her role models backup dancer for his upcoming music video.
She couldn't believe it. Her heart was racing, along with her brain the night before she showed up for rehearsals.
Lisa just couldn't wait to meet the dancers, learn the dance, be one of the first few people to hear the newest song, meet her role model and maybe just maybe meet her celebrity crush, Jennie Kim.
Yes, she knew they were together but it was just a mere, simple celebrity crush. It wasn't like she was going to do anything, let alone speak to the girl. She didn't even know if she'd actually meet her. Lisa hoped she did though.
Jennie Kim, may look fierce and cold, but Lisa just knew there was something about her that the world would not and did not understand. Okay, she's starting to fan girl again, she knows, but could you blame her? She was THE Jennie Kim.
And, of course, that night, Lisa slept with a smile on her face, dreaming of dancing and Jennie Kim.
A true fan girl.
"Breathe, you can do this." Lisa took a deep breath, trembling hand holding onto the door handle and eyes screwed tightly as she struggled to steady her heart, maybe even tried to silence the echo the abnormal beat was creating in her head.
Lisa didn't know how long she's been standing there, hand holding the cool medal, knees buckling and audible pep talks under her breath. Maybe for a couple of minutes, seconds?
She had time, she knew she wasn't going to be late, but just hearing faint voices of the other dancers behind the door had her blood pumping in the most fearful way.
"I can do this," Lisa hissed to herself. Unbeknown to her, a smaller brunette was walking down the hall, head tilted and feline eyes staring at the girl in curiosity. And, hearing the taller one blabber to herself, she grinned and stood behind her.
"Yes, you can. What's stopping you?" The stranger was referring to her opening the door.
Lisa huffed, nodding and opening her eyes. She hardened her glare at the door that stood between her and her fellow back up dancers,
"Right? What is stopping me? I'm cool. I can do this..."
The person snorted, highly amused by the slender girl in front of her who obviously has yet to realized she was no longer talking to herself anymore.
"The coolest."
"What am I so afraid?" Lisa grumbled under her breath, letting go of the handle and brushing her fingers through her jet black hair.
"Door knobs perhaps?"
Lisa furrowed her eye brows and scoffed, "What? Of course not, that's ridiculous..." She stiffened and her eyes immeditaely widened.
She wasn't alone and now her cheeks were pink and she felt way too embarrassed to even turn around. Especially when the girl behind her began to giggle lightly and Lisa had to admit, that was the cutest giggle she has ever heard.
