It had been just over a month ago that Jaune Arc, the boy who lied his way into Beacon academy had saved Cardin Winchester, Beacons' resident bully and racist from a Ursa Major in the Forever Falls forest. After the "Forever Falls incident" as it became known as, Beacon had seemingly changed overnight.
It had started when Cardin had APOLOGISED to Velvet Scarlatina, a rabbit Faunus that Cardin was known to bully. After the apology, and well deserved punch that Cardin received from Velvets teammates that the change was noticed, Cardin actually started focusing on his classes and becoming a better huntsman.
Over this change Cardin had actually found a friend in the form of the scythe wielding, cookie loving reaper, known as Ruby Rose. As it turned out, Cardin was a bit of a weapon nut as well. Over time the pair would design and test various weapon ideas, most of which would blow up when the two would test them.
Barely a month had passed and team CRDL had actually started becoming decent huntsmen, teams RWBY, JNPR and CRDL had become almost inseparable and close friends, although Yang Xiao Long, Ruby's older sister would crack jokes that Ruby and Cardin were inseparable for another reason, and this. Is where our story begins.
"Soo? How was your date Rubes?" The question was practically laced with a sense of teasing and a pinch of worry. "Yaaang!!" Ruby's voice echoed across the team's dorm room. "It wasn't a date! Me and Cardin just like making weapons." "Aah, you know I'm messing with you sis!" Even though Ruby and Cardin weren't technically dating, the jokes practically flooded Beacon. Even Phyrra Nikos was making jokes about their relationship, when she hadn't confessed to her crush and team leader, Jaune Arc.
"Would teams RWBY, JNPR and CRDL please report to the headmasters office please? Once again, teams RWBY, JNPR and CRDL to the headmasters office." The voice of deputy headmistress Glynda Goodwitch echoed across the school over the PA system. "Well..... let's go see what's going on." The voice of Weiss Schnee cut across the deafening silence.
