As the three teams and their chaperone, in the form of doctor Oobleck approached the nearest clearing to the power readings they were seen double and even triple checking there equipment.
All that could be heard inside the cabin was the roar of the engine's and the clicking of weapons being loaded. When doctor Oobleck went into the cockpit, the 12 teams then started talking. "They bet on our relationships?" Asked Weiss, seemingly shocked that the staff at beacon academy would actually do such a thing.
"Mustard boring Beeing a teacher, I bet they get a real howl out of it." Said Yang, sprouting more and more puns as she went. "One more pun Yang, and you are dead, you got that?" This came as a shock as it was the quiet ninja of team JNPR, Lie Ren who threatened the blonde brawler. "Okay, okay, I get it Ren, I won't make anymore puns while we're on mission, happy?" "Very"
After that little surprise, the 12 teenagers and their chaperone reached the landing site, as they disembarked, all of them kept a close eye on the tree line, incase any Grimm decided to attack. Thankfully, there didn't appear to be any Grimm in the immediate area. "Alright, let's move out people, we can make it to the source of the power readings before five if we we move fast."
As the 13 people kept moving, they eventually came across their first Grimm, which was quickly dealt with. As they approached the coordinates. Which lead into a cave, Jaune took point in order to allow Cardin to rest a bit after killing 15 Beowolves and four ursa. The moment Jaune entered the clearing, was a trap sprung 30 beowolves jumped out of the forest while 7 Grimm that had only recently been discovered in Vacuo burst out of the ground behind Jaune, cutting him off from his friends. These new Grimm had recently been found in Vacuo in the small town of 'Perfection', the locals there had survived and named these new worm like Grimm. Graboids.
Unlike most Grimm, graboids, instead used seismic vibrations to locate their prey, and will burst out of the ground to swallow their prey whilst they are still alive. Due to the graboid being a new Grimm, there is little known about it.
"Doctor! Get the others back to the Bullhead, I'll buy you time to get out of here!" "Mr Arc, we are not leaving without you!" "I'll find my own way back, just keep my friends safe." "You had better come back alive Mr. Arc, or else I will give you detention for a whole year." As the doctor led the teams away, Jaune charged headfirst into the beowolves, keeping them, and the graboids distracted.
Hours past and Jaune found himself running through the cave system, his weapons lost in the fighting, eventually, he came across a chamber of some kind. With the beowolves closing fast, Jaune made a leap of faith, and his broken and battered body disappeared from the face of the planet.
