If you don't recognise the characters, go to the start of the 'New Beginnings' chapter.

FLASHBACK
DAMON

She was so beautiful. Beauxbatons always had the prettiest students. I looked into her deep dark eyes, and they glistened in the sunlight. Her hair felt so light when I would run my hand down from her head to her back.

She sat there in the library, studying. As always.

I started to walk up to her. But Ana stopped in my tracks.

"Hi, Damon," She smiled gleefully.

"Hi. I'm kinda busy right now," I said, peering by the side of her shoulder to see Jennifer.

"You know, you can study in my room. It's a bit...crowded..in here," she said smiling.

"Maybe later."

I dodged past her. Luckily.

"Jennifer," I sighed. She looked up at me.

"Damon. I don't want to deal with you right now," She groaned.

"What about later?" I smirked, taking a seat.

She chuckled then hid her expression.

"Later... is that after you say you didn't have a girlfriend again?" She mocked.

"Look," I said, taking my hand up to her cheek. She slightly hesitated with anger.

"I didn't tell anyone because I thought you were uncomfortable about me bringing it up. You know, considering what happened with your last boyfriend," I muttered, looking down.

She nodded, putting her fatigued head in her hands.

"I know. It's just hard," She sighed.

I looked at all of her books piled high and sheets of paper surrounded her.

"Come on, it's getting on. I would have an early night," I said.

"Damon, look-"

"Come on, you need the sleep," I smiled, placing a hand on her back.

"Damon-"

"You need sleep," I reassured.

"Damon," She said loudly, causing him to look at me in confusion.

"I'm moving. To Hogwarts." She said quickly.

I took my hand off her back.

"No."

"What do you mean no? I leave next week."

"Tell me anything other than that. Please."

I looked deep into her eyes. I knew this was happening, she was distant and I overheard her.

I couldn't cry. Not in front of her.

I hugged her close to me. I tried to get a whole lifetime out of that hug.

She rested her hand on my shoulder.

I pulled back, getting up.

"I'm going to miss you."

Before she could answer, I left. The only girl that I loved, is leaving me.

PRESENT (DAMON)

It was about three weeks. I couldn't stop thinking about her. I missed her so much. She was in my mind every time I sat down, got up, worked, everything.

I didn't want to continue without her. But I have to.
I have to.

I got dressed and looked at my reflection.

I noticed the deep, dark look in my eyes.

Only if she were here.
