*BACK THEN* (age 17, after she was kidnapped)

I was running and running and fast. Eager to get away from the men hoping they didn't follow me out barefoot and a towel or jacket of some sort. I started hyperventilating knowing and feeling that they weren't far behind me probably jumping in car about to catch up to me. The wind was catching my heavy breaths and the concrete was smacking against my foot. I stopped for a rest when I got to a stop light looking around the corner seeing a way to a neighborhood. "Maybe I could find a place to stay there" I told myself.

I sigh and catch my breath and start jogging down. But out of nowhere the scars on my back started stinging and burning. I screamed in pain and fell to my knees hurdling up trying to hold my back and try to take away the pain as best as I can. It felt each scar throbbing and each had its own heartbeat. It felt like they were popping out of my back. Worse than a cramp. My toes curl up and my hands make a fist shutting my eyes tight fighting the stinging pain.

After a while it finally stopped and I sighed in relief. I had no idea what the hell just happened. I was thinking a million things. It came and went. But before I could try to figure it out I pick myself up and run down the street to the neighborhood. I loose my breath from running a while back and I felt like I outran them and I started walking. There was a shed near by and I though I would go there rather than explain to a family why I'm dirty, naked, covered in a towel, and beat up the core and scars on my back.

Yeeaaahh no.

So I take a big breath and I walk over to the shed. But I hear echoing voices not far behind me. "She went that way! I can smell her from here!" one of the guys laughed. I started to get scared again and felt like I was in a horror movie running down and hall from someone who is right on my tale grabbing the end of my shirt. I book it over to the shed breathing in fear as I run.

I start to think that if I go to the shed that would be the first place he would look. But I had no choice. The next house was far and I knew I wouldn't make it and I heard their footsteps and laughs getting closer and closer. I wouldn't have made it. So I had no other choice and I ran to the small shed hoping they wouldn't go in there.

I open and shut the door but not too loud to make noise and there were boxes everywhere and a wooden desk that was full of cobweb and windows that were broken. I hide behind the desk and cover myself with some sheets shutting my mouth with my hand.

"She couldn't have gotten that far." one of the guys said. "and she wouldn't go into a house where there are people. So she has to be somewhere else." another guy said. I feel a big lump in my throat and my eyes start watering up scared that they would find me. I started to whimper hearing them get closer to the shed.

My heart was racing and all of a sudden it was quiet. I thought they were gone. I slowly take a peek over the desk but the creeking of the broken wood gives my position away. I gasp in shock realizing what I did. *BAM* the door slams open and I scream loud startled and in fear.

*PRESENT*

*BAM* I kick the door open fast and pull out my bow and arrow and point it towards the direction of the hall in the house. I was the first to go in and once everything was clear I whistled and Rick, Daryl, T-Dog, and Carl would come in and kick some ass with me. Carl had gotten pretty good with a gun but it took a shot grazing my shoulder to get him there. Yeah it was bad.

"Ight Daryl, Nic you both take the right. T you take the kitchen, Carl bedroom and I'll take the living room." Rick said already walking away. Me and Daryl look at each other and we both nod and make our way down the hall. "Daryl you got my four?" "yeah just watch your step. For all we know we can be stepping on walker heads and we wouldn't know it." he said turning his back toward mine walking backwards while I walked forward.
