Sunlight started pouring into the room and onto the bed where the super spy was sleeping peacefully with his 2-year old baby boy under his arm. Lance turned to his side as the sun hit his face, refusing to wake up. He never was much of a morning person. And on days where he was off work like today, he was always destined to sleep in as much as possible. Walter however was always the first to wake up in the morning.
Today was no different.
The fluffy-haired toddler rolled himself out from under Lance's sleep-heavy arm and eyed his snoring dad. Craving for attention, Walter reached out and started poking at Lance's face with his tiny fingers. The super spy moaned in his sleep and hid his face under the covers, but Walter wouldn't give up. The little boy got onto his short legs and started hopping up and down on the bed. Lance kept on resisting until the two year old literally threw himself onto him.
The elder groaned and sat up.
"Alright! Alright! I'm up!"
He rubbed his eyes and gave his son a miffed look. "Dada!" Walter giggled and Lance couldn't hold back a smile while shaking his head. "You just gotta do this every morning, don't ya?"
The toddler blinked at him before poking his dad's nose with a "Beep!" and giggling again.
"Oh yeah?" Lance murmured mischievously. He grabbed Walter and pulled him close to start blowing onto his face. The little boy laughed at this.
As Lance eventually stopped, he gave his son a few seconds to catch his breath before lifting him onto his arm and making his way out of the bedroom. "Come on, kid! Let's get you changed!"

Soon after changing Walter and having breakfast, Lance decided to take him out to the park since the little boy always loved feeding the pigeons there.
Even if the agent hated these birds. Constant fluttering, eating garbage off the ground, pooping on people's heads...
Rats with wings.
But he did it to make Walter happy. Lance helped him into his small jacket along with his hat and scarf since it was early spring and chilly outside. They headed out with Walter riding inside his stroller. As they arrived in the park, there was already a swarm of pigeons pecking on the lawn in front of them. Walter got so excited when he saw them that he jumped out of his stroller while Lance was still pushing it and ran towards them. "Walter!" Lance yelled, but Walter didn't listen to him. The birds fluttered out of the way as the toddler came in between them. "Pigeons!" he exclaimed joyfully and pulled some breadcrumbs out of his jacket pocket that he always snuck with him and threw them to the pigeons. They immediately started pecking them off the ground and Walter laughed. Lance sighed and sat down on the nearest bench while keeping his eyes on his son. Walter plopped his tiny butt onto the grass as he watched the pigeons flying around him and giving them more breadcrumbs. While he was having the time of his life, Lance wondered to himself for the hundredth time why Walter was so obsessed with these birds.

A good time later Lance looked at his watch and got up from the bench. It was time to go home. "Walter, time to go ho-"
The super spy's words got stuck in his throat as he saw the fluffy-haired toddler running with a baby pigeon in his hands. "Fly! Fly!" Walter chirped.
He was trying to help it fly.
All blood left Lance's face when he noticed the lake up ahead. Walter was running straight towards it. The little boy was so distracted with helping this pigeon that he didn't realize where he was going.
The agent immediately took after him.
"WALTER, NO!!!"
Walter threw the baby pigeon into the air. It flapped it's wings and flew up to it's parent's nest in the tree on the other side of the lake. While doing this though, the toddler lost his balance at the edge of the lake and his dad barley grabbed him in time before he could fall into the water.
Lance hugged Walter tightly in relief, then put him back down.
"BOY, WHAT DID YA THINK YOU WERE DOIN'?" he scolded him. "YOU COULDA DROWNED!"
Walter looked up at his dad with hurt eyes that started filling up with tears. Lance forgot about his anger at this and immediately felt guilty.
How could he yell at a two year old?
"Wow, easy...I didn't mean it."
The super spy kneeled down to his son who had his head lowered while crying silently. Walter never cried loudly.
"Walter, I'm sorry for yellin'..." Lance said, his voice softer. "You just scared me and I don't wanna loose you!"
Walter stopped crying and went to hug his dad with a giggle. Lance smiled and hugged him back.

"Where are ya, little man?"
Lance poked his head into the living room and looked around for his son but didn't hear anything. Neither a shuffle nor a giggle. This kid was good in hide and seek. Especially for his age. Most toddlers would surely make some noise during this game, but Walter was different. He was surprisingly smart enough to always stay quiet in his hiding spot. Lance had already looked in every other room. Now only the living room was left. He snuck towards the couch that was the only hiding place in this room as quietly as he could(he's a master in sneaking obviously). "Gotcha!" he called out as he shot a look behind it, hoping to find the kid, but there was nothing. Before Lance could rationalize what was going on here, it happened. Something jumped on him from behind, causing the super spy to yell in shock. "Gotcha!" Walter laughed.
The boy had actually been secretly following Lance through the rooms with the hopes to turn the tables on him. And it worked.
That little rascal.
Lance grabbed his son and pinned him to the floor. "WHO'S GOT WHO NOW, JOKER?" He pushed up the little boy's shirt and started blowing into his belly. Walter let out a squeal of laughter and fidgeted around like crazy. Blowing on his face was one good spot, but blowing onto his belly was the absolute highest score. Lance took another breath and blew harder. Walter laughed louder as he continued until he grabbed onto his dad's face. Lance paused at this and looked down at his son. "Dada!" the 2 year old squeaked.
Lance smiled warmly.
As soon as he picked him back up again, Walter let go of his face and rapped his arms around Lance(wich didn't really work since he's just a toddler with short arms)and pressed his face into his huge chest. Lance hugged him back, but as he was trying to release the hug, Walter kept on hugging him like he didn't want to let go of him anymore. The agent knew what this meant. He sat down with him on the couch. There had hardly ever been a day where Walter didn't take some time to cuddle with his dad. Lance chuckled slightly. "That's my kid, alright!" he thought proudly to himself. It didn't take long till Walter's head drooped and he dozed off, his hands still hugging his dad. The super spy ran his fingers through the boy's fluffy brown hair while watching him with soft and also drowsy eyes. He was getting pretty tired himself too. Lance leaned back, closed his eyes and soon dozed off as well with his sleeping baby boy in his arms.
No matter how often this kid drove Lance insane, it would never stop him from loving him regardless. Ever.
After all, father and son stick together no matter what.
