why did jae-ae feel like his chess piece?
her breath became uneven the more her legs had continued to stride through the corridors of the building. she couldn't miss it, she can't miss it.
it was the match between mira and daewi. just before the beginning of the fight, she had received a message from mira stating that she'll continue to get stronger to fight alongside them, but her stomach churned upon reading it. something wasn't right, it was as if mira knew she was going to lose again daewi.
her hands pushed both doors of the arena wide open, running in to see the the sight of mira getting mercilessly punched by daewi. her eyes could never decieve her when so many were witnessing the fight, why?
it didn't have to play out like this.
in one more punch mira fell to the ground, grasping her stomach as she tries to stop the pain the filled through her body. it wasn't just jae-ae that received the text message, mori on the other side held a look that he wasn't impressed with daewi's actions. ⠀⠀⠀⠀ "i've never thought of you guys as friends..." ⠀⠀⠀⠀ "wait, so uhm... are we all friends?" jae-ae shyly asks daewi, the both of them outside a convenience store waiting for mira and mori to get their popsicles. a small blush peaked the girl's cheeks, her index finger scratched the side of her face as she glances at daewi.
the teen blinks his eyes at jae-ae, somehow amused and confused at the same time to why she even asked that question. "are we not?"
jae-ae's face brightens, daewi just looking at her eyes made him want to close his orbs by how much her golden hues shined. what was it with this girl and her eyes that outshined the most expensive golds? as if the sun from above manifested into two orbs and put the shine in her eyes.
