BusanBang Yongguk descended down the church stairs, his otherwise perfectly gelled hair dishelved and falling on his wide forehead as if he's combed his fingers across them several times; one of his habits with indicates he's gravely disappointed. Probably because he got rejected by the Kim guy again, whom he'd been chasing around for a long time, something he'd never do.
Chae Hyungwon worked with him for more than a couple of years to know that much at the very least. Besides, Hyungwon is the type of a guy who'd read a person just at a glance. it's more like an occupational hazard. He's not a man of many words, but of thought. Silent yet observant.
One of Yongguk's body guards opened the car door and he took a seat beside Hyungwon. He fished out a joint and a Zippo from his pocket in a hurried fashion.
"I adviced you against it for a reason. Both as your friend and as your lawyer." His voice low, laced with a chilling calmness.
Yongguk chuckled, "You know he's the first person who isn't scared of me. I like it." He put the joint between his lips and light it up and inhaled the good stuff.
"I thought you just wanted to bed him. When did it all turn into an obsession?"
Yongguk huffed, "obsession?"
Hyungwon raised a brows in surprise, "No? I mean you did kill your father for him."
Yongguk leaned back in his seat, his eyes closed. When he opened them, he looked much relaxed. "Kim Taehyung is ONE of the reasons why. That old homophobic geyser had it coming anyways." He said in a low tone.
Hyungwon only nodded in defeat, for he knew what kind of a man his father was.
Bang Jaehyuk was a calculative manipulator and a selfish bastard who went beyond his ways to establish the biggest and most powerful crime syndicate in Asia. Drugs, human trafficking, pornography, prostitution, you name it and they were doing it. On top of that, he'd take under destitute children and turn them into killers, more like his watch dogs. He wasn't a bad person at all, no, infact he was a religious fool but with all the wrong intentions. That being said, he never accepted his only biological son, Bang Yongguk, to be homosexual.
That was the start of Yongguk's daddy issues. Up until the day he put a bullet in his skull mercilessly. Yes, Yongguk was daunting, and ruthless like his father, but he was not calculative; rather impulsive, impatient, and a hopeless romantic. He'd do messy jobs and leave loop holes. If not for Hyungwon, he'd have brought down the entire syndicate already after he took the charge.
The death of his father came more as a good news than a bad one in the underworld. One impulsive action of Yongguk resulted in a year and a half worth of work for Hyungwon. He set the sail again for his syndicate through his connections both in the crime and the legal world. Although young, Hyungwon was sharp, brilliant in his line of work, and unbeatable when it comes to politics.
For Yongguk, Hyungwon was more than a lawyer. He was his best friend and Hyungwon has proven to be it so far.
"I have sent some men to bring the girls back from Kabukicho, Tokyo after the Hayashi clan impeded on us. We lost a couple of millions worth of a deal, not much of a loss though."
"Do they know we have Saiko Hayashi's girl under our radar?"
"No. They still think she's in the States."
Yongguk smirked, "You actually did a good job recruiting the new guy. Sending a young handsome man after a wimpy teen like her was a good idea. They always fall for such fuck boys. What was his name again?"
