Chapter 16

After hanging up with Liam I went and checked on the twins. "Sorry your date night got cancelled" bobby said when I came back out. "It's okay, I was thinking about cancelling tonight anyway, it's been a long day and I still need to talk to Gideon." I said as I sat down on the couch with him. Gideon was on his way up to spend the night with us so we could all sit down and talk. We didn't say what I was about but said it was important and kinda time sensitive. "I made up the guest room for him, and Lizzy room is ready for her as well, will you be coming with me to pick her up at the airport?" He asked I smiled "I probably shouldn't, because of the twins plus she will probably want some alone time with you" I said he nodded "good point, I'm going to grab a beer would you like one?" He asked I had never tried beer before, I wasn't yet 21 and one of my rules were no drinking... However I was curious. "Um sure" I said he nodded and reached into his mini fridge and pulled out 2 beers and handed me one. I then watched him open his and then tried to do the same thing but because my hands were very sensitive I ended up cutting my hand. "Oh shit" Bobby and I both said as it started to bleed. He grabbed a nearby shirt and then told me to open my hand when I did he pored his beer over it. It stung a bit he then wrapped the shirt around my hand. "It's going to be sore for a bit but I don't think you need stitches" he said I was a bit spaced out in amazement. "Are you okay Callie?" He asked "hmm yeah, why did you just pore beer on my hand?" I asked he chuckled "it has alcohol in it, that's good for boo-boos but it does sting a bit at first." He said I shrugged my shoulder and made a face. "Cool" I said sitting back with him, he opened my beer for me and then ordered dinner. "Pizza and wings again tonight?" He asked "sure!" I said

I felt panicked as I drove 2 hours over to Bobby's cabin, Callie said it wasn't anything bad but she wanted to talk to me in person, and that it was time sensitive. I drove as carefully as I could but also sped a lot along the way. Why was I going to Bobby's 3 days earlier. "She's your daughter and wants to see you in person, she seems happy and healthy" I said to myself. Soon I arrived at Bobby's and just walked in like I was told to do. "What happened to your hand, why do you smell like booze, is this what you have been eating pizza and wings all the time?" I asked

"Hi dad, nice to see you to" I said hugging him, it was the first time I've seen him act like this. "I'm sorry kiddo, I'm glad to see you to" he said hugging me. "To answer your questions, Bobby was going to let me try beer for the first time, I tried to open it myself and my hand began to bleed, then Bobby pored beer over it, and no I don't just eat pizza and wings" I said he nodded as he took everything in. "Callie why don't you go to your room while I talk to Bobby" Gideon said "okay.." I said and then headed off to my room
