I don't really remember waking up at all, just that I was incredibly sore and there were planks on me. James and Sirius helped me get up. My back probably is what hurt the most so I'm guessing there was another stupid scar on it. "You okay Moony?" Sirius asked. I nodded and let out a small groan. It hurt pretty bad compared to what it normally did.
"What happened?" I asked. "It'll be easier to tell you when you're all fixed up," James said. I sighed hobbling with them to the hospital wing. I passed out as we almost got there because the door was the last thing I remembered seeing. When I awoke I was met with a big hug. I looked over to see Ash with a blanket wrapped around her and I freaked out a bit.
"W-why are y-you h-here?" I stuttered. "She figured it out Moony but almost got herself killed in the process," James said. "I'm so sorry Remus," Ash said. She grabbed my hand and held it pretty tight. She leaned in closer. "Do you wanna tell them now?" Ash whispered in my ear. "Might as well," I whispered back.
"So during Christmas break we uh..." Ash started as I sat up. I could tell she didn't want to finish it so I did. I kissed her. Sirius had a small, sad smile on his face while James had a huge one, Peter was somewhere in between. I felt bad for Sirius but I don't think I'll ever find someone quite like Ash. "But you can't tell anyone," I added. They all nodded and swore not to tell anyone.
"We're going to leave you two to talk," James said talking Sirius and Peter with him as he left. I looked at Ash who now had tears in her eyes. "Why didn't you tell me?" She asked. "I didn't want to scare you away," I mumbled. "You knew I didn't care is! I'm guessing that's why you asked to kiss," Ash said. "One I didn't kiss you just because you didn't care if I were a werewolf you're so much more and two its easier said than done to just go up to someone you really care about and say oh by the way I'm a werewolf a disgusting monster who will kill you if you come across me!" I said back.
The tears started to trickle down her face. "Ash I didn't-" I started. "Is that what you really think about yourself that you're a monster?!" Ash asked. "It's true!" I replied. She stood up and walked around to the other side of the bed. She turned me on my side and I felt her lay down behind me. Ash wrapped her arms around me and held me closer to her. "Remus, I don't care that you're a werewolf, heck I think it makes you look cuter, I just want to be with you," Ash said.
I turned around facing her and felt my heart break and probably my mind too. "You actually- I didn't- m-me?" She nodded and kissed me passionately. "Promise not to keep anymore secrets from me?" Ash asked. "Yes, but there's like two Marauder secrets you can't know," I said. She laughed and laid closer to me. I wish it could always be like this. "Why do you have this blanket?" I asked taking it off. "Wait don't!" Ash said.
She had a green sweater and a skirt that was way to short. I felt the blushed reddening my cheeks. "Don't look!" She said embarrassed. Ash grabbed the blanket from my hand and covered herself back up. I couldn't get the image out of my head, she looked so cute. "You look adorable," I said. I could tell Ash was blushing and embarrassed. "No I don't!" She fought back.
"Yes you do! The way the sweater is oversized on you, yet the skirt is so short..." I said. She buried her face in my chest. "I am not cute I'm so much smaller than the other girls and they're so much more beautiful!" She said. I finally realized what was wrong. "Ash, please don't compare yourself to any other girl, you're perfect just how you are. You're the only girl I've ever really liked and I think you look perfect, you're the most beautiful girl I've seen please don't think otherwise." I said. Ash sniffled.
"It's hard not comparing yourself to anyone else..." She said. "Do I need to prove to you that you're the best one for me," I whispered in her ear. Ash turned red and let out a whimper. She nodded her head slightly and I smirked. I let my hand trail up from the side of her thigh and stomach. I pulled her closer to me. "Was that good enough or do you need more," I asked. Ash was quiet but still moving. "Are you okay," I asked. She looked up at me with the most adorable eyes but I could tell she was embarrassed by the way her lip quivered and her cheeks were a hot pink. She buried her face in my chest. "I'm fine," Ash mumbled. I smiled and hugged her.
