Five: It's the Caffeine

"Taro, I saw your debut stage, you did so well~ my Taro owns the stage. As he should!" Sungchan hollered when he saw Shotaro came back.

"Hehe thank you so much, Sungchan!!" Shotaro giggled and Sungchan could not help but giggled too.

"Wanna see your fancam together?"

Puzzled, Shotaro asked "Fancam — ? What's that?"

Sungchan took Shotaro's hand and guided him to his room. He lie down and made some space for Shotaro to lie down too.

"See, this is why you need me to teach you stuff. Look, when you on the stage usually there would be a separa — Shotaro Osaki? Lie down here" Sungchan pat the empty spot next to him.

Shotaro who was lost in his thought sobered up.

"Sure — I am just quite tired hehe sorry for zoning out" Shotaro lay beside Sungchan. Sungchan continued his explanation while closing his distance as he wanted to share the phone screen together. It was just a casual touch between their shoulders but his heart been thumping weirdly but Sungchan ignored those. Not the caffeine acting up again..... I need to drink less coffee

They went from one fancam to another fancam for hours. It went on until Sungchan felt drowsy and he noticed a steady breathing beside him. Shotaro already gave in to sleeping and he did not even realised.

He glanced over, turned his body to face Shotaro and put his phone aside. His hand moved to the older boy's cheek. Squishy. Kinda nice to touch.

"Shotaro, you must be so tired. You did so well in your debut stage."

Sungchan's hand moved from his cheek to holding Shotaro's hand which was balled up into a fist.

"I hope I can be there to cheer on your first stage — I wish we can perform together sometimes soon"

From there, Sungchan circled his arm into Shotaro's waist.

"I think I like you the best when you're beside me, just like this"

Sungchan yawned. His hug became tighter and he snuggled to Shotaro.

As expected, I really like him.

Wait -

Yeah

I kinda like him.

......As a friend... of course....

Yes that's it we're bestfriendsssss.

Sungchan slept so well that night while holding Shotaro in his arms, still remaining oblivious to his true feelings.

Still not realising his thumping heart wasn't because of caffeine.
