Another casual day of helping out my family and working in school assignments as I attempted to finish them on time, but I was distracted as usual when my older brother went to the skate park near the Pink Motel we lived next to and hung out with these guys while they skated their boards around the place, as well as create their own kind of chaos. I had a perfect view from my bedroom window where I saw him and those boys having a good time and try new tricks they probably learned on the internet. The boys looked like they were related, they could even be brothers, but they looked different in the way they dressed and acted. One looked like a pirate from a movie while the other looked like a gentleman while still skateboarding in a suit (of all things), but the one I had my attention on for a while was the one with long, blonde hair looking like a 21st century version of Kurt Cobain. I'm not sure why, but he seemed like the chillest of the group and whenever he's not wearing his cool-looking heart-shaped sunglasses, I always thought his eyes looked so pretty and honest even from a distance. I've never met any of them in person mostly because I'm not socially comfortable, but they don't seem like the kind of guys to hurt me on sight.

The one time things were different than usual was today when my brother forgot to bring his backpack that has his money and shit, so I had to go all the way to the skate park where I don't usually feel comfortable going to because there's a lot of people there and it makes me a little anxious to have to deal with that. It took me about 10 minutes to find my brother skating inside the empty pool with some other individuals and I tried to call him out but I was too quiet so he couldn't hear me. I was about to wait for him until I felt someone poke my shoulder and I turned to see it was the long-haird boy standing behind me and smiling politely. Just him standing there close to me startled me and I stumbled back, almaot falling into the empty pool when he caught my arm and pulled me closer to him chest, hugging me to him so I won't fall in. The warmth of his body made my heart race as I looked up to see him looking down at me, grinning and asking, "Jesus, that was close. Are you okay?" I was so overwhelmed of his arms holding me close to him that I couldn't form any words so I just nodded while still looking into his eyes, which I now realized are brown, which I thought were so gorgeous.

"(Y/N)?", the sound of my brother's voice brought me back to reality as I turned around to see him standing a few feet from me, noticing that the boy was holding me close before he let me go and pulled away embarrassingly, scratching the back of his head and a hint of pink on his face. "Ahem...hi, (B/N)", I said to my brother while walking up to him, "I just came here to give you your backpack because you forgot it and you usually never leave the house without it. I'm sorry if I came here inconveniently." "Well, thanks but", he started to tell me, "You're not here inconveniently. If you'd like to hang out, I won't get in your way." I was surprised by his statement and proposal but then I shook my head, "Uh, no, that's okay. I'll just go home and see if Mom and Dad need anything..." I was about to walk away when the same boy who rescued me called out to me, "You're leaving so soon?" It surprised me as I turned to him and then he shrugged as he said to me, "I mean, I don't want to get in your way, but I was hoping to get know our friend's cute and sweet sibling he's always mentioning and understand why they've been missing out on such good things. If you want, could you at least stay a while so I get to know you a little better than what I've heard."

The way he looked at me and welcomed me with his eyes and smile, how could I say no to something like that? I reciprocated his smile as I turned to face him and nodded, "Sure, I'd like that." For a little over an hour, I got to know some of my brother's friends, including the trio who were brothers like I assumed. The pirate, Emerson, the gentleman, Sebastian, and the nice boy who saved me and gave me such good company ever since, Remington. I don't think I ever had such a great time with people like these guys, but they never made me feel excluded or alienated for my normally antisocial behavior. Instead, they gradually helped me open up and embraced what they found interesting about me. Especially Remington, who laughed with me about things I found humorous and shared common interests I had about the things I was most passionate about. I wasn't sure what intrigued me so much about him before we formally met, but I think it's safe to say now that I may have developed a huge crush on him for being so nice to me and having the sweetest smile I've ever seen in my life. "Will I ever see you again?", was what he asked before I went back home with my brother and I answered with a bashful, "I really hope so." Little did I know, that he slipped his phone number into the hood of my hoodie which I couldn't have noticed until after I got home.
