I ran as fast as I could. The sun had set a few hours ago and the sky was almost completely dark. The forest looked like an endless labyrinth and with all my rush it was like I forgot the path I had to take in order to get away. I was starting to get out of breath with all the running and every few seconds I looked back to see if someone was following me.

I was way afar from the castle by now and I couldn't help but smile. My face lightened but I didn't stop running. I couldn't believe I made it. As I ran, I tool one last glance behind me, making sure again no one was behind me. An even bigger smile formed in my face. But then, just before I could see in front of me again, I fell on something making me fall on my back on the wet ground. My smile faded completely. I quickly looked up, realising it wasn't something but someone instead. My breathing stopped as I looked at him and my heart beat quickened extremely. He looked down at me, his eyes, crocodile-like, stared inside mine as if he was looking at his pray. He had a smile that wasn't so ugly but I couldn't let him fool me.

''Going somewhere, dearie?'' he said, his voice weird and the smile on his face widened.

I walked out of the police department, having a file in my hand and headed towards Granny's. It was a lovely day, the sun shined brightly and I couldn't help but smile. I entered Granny's and sat on an empty booth. After a few minutes Ruby came and greeted me with a smile.

''What can I get you?'' she asked me with a smile. ''Coffee?'' she asked but I shook my head.

''Oh no, not today.'' I said with a chuckle. ''Just a hot cocoa with whipped cream.'' I said and she nodded with a smile and went to prepair my order. I set the file on the table and looked around patiently. Suddenly Henry walked in and came to my table, taking a seat on the booth opposite mine.

''You're late.'' I told him, jokingly.

''Sorry, I had to find a way to leave.'' he said and I smiled at him. ''Do you have it?'' he asked and I nodded before sliding the file towards him. He took it and opened it just as Ruby brought my drink.

''You want something, Henry?'' she asked him.

''No, thank you.'' he said without taking his eyes off the file. Ruby nodded and left.

''You're sure this is her address?'' he asked me and I nodded.

''It was hard to find it, you know.'' I told him and he nodded in understanding. ''No one must know about this.''I said again.

''Don't worry.'' he said and slid the file back after reading the information he wanted. I took the last ship of my drink and left on the table the money for it. I grabbed the file and stood up. Henry looked up at me. ''Where are you going?'' he asked.

''To Mr Gold's shop, I don't want to be late for tea.'' I told him. ''Well, after I leave this where it belongs.'' I continued, talking about the file.

''Be careful.'' Henry said and I raised my eyebrows.

''You're the one who should be careful, Henry.'' I said and he nodded before standing up and placing his backpack on his shoulder. Then I remembered this book of his. ''Anyway, when are you going to tell me who am I in your book?'' I asked him. He looked at me with a look I could not read.

''I don't think you're ready yet.'' he said and I sighed but nodded.

''Fine, be careful Henry. Call me if anything happens.'' I said and he nodded before I walked out of the dinner.

I opened the door of Mr Gold's pawnshop. The little bell rang, signalling I was here but Mr Gold was nowhere to be seen. I walked further inside, letting the door close behind me and looked around. ''Mr Gold?'' I called for him as I stared at some jewellery.
