A King's Position ( Kageyama X OC )

"Hey I thought we were walking!" I yelled out to the two racing boys. I don't know why I accepted Hinata and Kageyama's offer to go walking with them so early in the morning. Of course they usually run but I guess they noticed my occasional morning walks and decided to ask me to join them.

How did I not expect this outcome?!? They always compete with each other! Not that I care too much but the problem is I dont know this neighborhood still. At least one of them could have stayed behind to help, I thought grudgingly as I walked the empty street.

Now which way did they go...left? No right...no...you know I should just sit here and wait for someone to come get me. I walk to the nearest bench and pull out my phone messaging them a mad face emoji and my location.

Then I pull out my game and start playing. Luckily the sun is barely rising so I don't have to worry about burning to death.

*ding*
King: sorry... I'm heading to get you

I glanced at my phone and just sent him back a person squinting gif. I wasn't super mad or annoyed but I do like teasing them. I hum the intro to this new anime I started recently while I wait. Oh, I didn't watch the newest episode last night! I scroll through my apps till I reach the one I'm looking for and look to see that it's there. Lucky~ 

"Sorry for running Kenna" I jump up in surprise and let out a small yelp. "Kageyama you scared me" I laugh and walk up to him. "Sorry" he says while watching me. I giggle "stop apologizing. I should have known you guys wouldn't hold back against each other and well I'm just easily frightened so no need for an apology."

He examined me as if making sure I was really ok then gestured with his head "I left Hinata when we got near the retreat place so it'll just be us". I nod at his words thinking if I've ever been alone with Kageyama before when his face turned even more serious than usual with a slight red tint. "Are you ok?" I hold my hand out to check his temperature when suddenly he slaps it away. We stare at eachother in shock before he shakes himself out of it and clears his throat "I'm fine let's just go".

Did I...do something? I scratch my brain for the answer when after awhile he grabs my wrist. "Don't get the wrong idea" he's still ahead of me and now towing me along "I just don't want you getting lost again". The tips of his ears look red "oh ok...are you sure your fine?" Maybe he's over heated?

He sighs "yeah I am... let's just go". Still not turning towards me, he leads foward. Hmm is it weird that I find his behavior kinda cute?

"So um" he clears his throat and glances at me "did you play?" I raise my brow at him confused, "play?" He turns away "yeah, play. You know volleyball? " "Ooooohhhh sorry I was confused for a moment there. Um no not really I mean I played sometimes with my brother and his friends but they played in a very laid back manner when I did so I can't really say I have played a serious match before".

He looked back at me shocked, "if you've never played then how did you get so good at calling plays?" I gave him a small smile and pointed at my brain "I'm just a little better at strategy than most. Though" I looked at him jokingly "I bet I wouldn't be able to go against such a King like your-" "Don't call me that!" He suddenly shouted.

I froze in shock and he sighed looking away from me "sorry I just really dont like that nickname". I felt horrible immediately and waved his answer off "no no that was my fault for calling you it. Sorry Hinata calls you King a lot so I just thought...I'm really sorry".

He tilted his head and with a curious voice asked "Hinata?" "Yeah but he probably doesnt know how much it effects you" I started when he turned fully to me "do you talk a lot with him?"

"I mean a fair amount I guess? Probably cause we've gotten to know each other more recently "  I point out when he starts walking again keeping me in tow "why don't you talk more to me instead of him? " huh? I catch up so I'm not behind but right next to him. He looks at me and his eyes widen as if he finally just registered what he said "not that I really want you to." He turned his face away again and walked in a huff.

"A-are you ok? Did I make you angry again?" I ask unsure when I see his ears turning red again. "No no just let's forget this talk" he says quickly waving me off. I know he can get angry quickly I should just stay quiet for now.

We walk in silence when he talks again "so um we should try and hang out more". Ok what? I'm confused! Does he hate me or wanna be friends with me? I just shrug and answer lightly "yeah that could be fun".

He smiled at me almost stopping me in my tracks. That rare smile was just..."you should smile more often" I tell him seriously. He chuckles "maybe for you I will". For some reason that answer caused my face to heat up and now it is my turn to turn away.

This has been the most chaotic walk I've ever been on.
