Chapter 11 [ The eleventh as the 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 seals ]
“ Can you show me that again? ”
Hyunjin sighed for the umpteenth time, rolling her eyes after she sees the way Chaewon's eyes shine in anticipation.
Hyunjin exhaled and shakes her head resulting in Chaewon pouting. It irked Hyunjin because Chaewon looks so small and cute whenever she sulk or pout.
“ Hyun, cmonn. do it again! ” her voice pitched with a big smile on her face as she request. Hyunjin only gives her a look from the eye as she drinks her water.
Chaewon tried to use her puppy eyes, clinging onto Hyunjin in the hope the girl would heed her request. Hyunjin sweat, looking away awkwardly.
She exhaled when Chaewon whined, sulking like a kicked puppy. Hyunjin feels her resolves slowly crumbles apart but it's not like she can do anything about it. It's more like she doesn't know how to. So instead of putting it aside, she spilled it.
“ Chae, i don't know how to. ”
Chaewon looked up at her and Hyunjin was glad she finally understands why. But the sly grin that appears on Chaewon's face sends shivers to her. The smaller girl stood up abruptly, Hyunjin hissing. Chaewon placed her hands on the hips and smiled.
“ You'll just control it then! ”
Hyunjin hears the whole room goes quiet, her eyes wide staring at Chaewon in shock. She had to be joking.
Yet the determined look on her face says the opposite. Hyunjin quickly shakes her head, scoffing and laughing awkwardly. “ No, no, no wha— stop joking around! ”
She hopes Chaewon does. But the smaller girl just cocked an eyebrow and tilt her head to the side. Hyunjin can't believe it. Chaewon was serious about this. Her mouth was now like a fish, trying to form the right words but nothing comes to her mind.
Chaewon smirked, “ Hyun, this is an opportunity. ”
Opportunity my ass!
Hyunjin silently yells in her head yet she was just staring at Chaewon with her mouth open. Her mind was blank, unable to think of anything. And she is sweating underneath her tshirt. Hyunjin knew she had to snap out of it and deny whatever Chaewon is planning.
She shakes her hand in refusal, “ No, no, no, no we're not doing anything about this Chaewon. just no. you are not doing anything about this. Chaewon, no. ” she says in a stern tone, needing Chaewon to listen.
But she knows she won't get what she wants when Chaewon wore a mischievous smile.
“ Chaewon no. ”
“ Chaewon yes. ” she wiggled her eyebrows and Hyunjin's eyes twitch in response.
She could feel anger boils in her as her ears turn slightly red. Chaewon seemed to notice that, laughing in response as she raised both hands in defense. She closed her eyes and then peeked at Hyunjin with one eye.
