A/N: Hi everyone! I'm pretty sure most of y'all are wondering why this is being updated. Well, to sum it up, I'm re-editing this WHOLE book. I read over the last fewish chapters and oh-

my-

god-

it was ABSOLUTE cringe. I don't even know how this book got all these views 🤣

Which is why, I've decided to re-edit all these chapters! Please do note, you don't have to read this! Many of you know the plot, but the overall setting, conversations, cute Mildcard moments will be added/changed! Maybe even the plot ;)

To those of you who are reading this for the first time, keep reading! I hope you enjoy! Well, onwards you go :)

"Wake Up, Sleepyhead!"

"Wake Up, Sleepyhead" My alarm clock rang.

I groaned, while I turned over and somewhat slammed my alarm clock. I stood up and went over to my wardrobe. Personally, if someone was able to approach me with a "Hi!", I'm sure most people would consider it a great feat. And i'd like to keep it that way.

"Hey honey, I heard you from down here. You coming down?" I heard my dad through my bracelet, just as I finished putting on my all black outfit. So I could blend with the shadows.

"Yeah, I'm coming," I spoke back. I came downstairs to see my dad watching the news while making some omelets. Thankfully, he was doing it properly this time. It was nice to know I could have a normal day, without having to save the world.

"Get ready to go to school, HQ school, plus, I'm needed there for some reason," You might ask who the director is the program now that Mrs.Granada was an alien. Well, not many things have changed, Mrs.Granada is still the director, Mr. President is still president. Ojo isn't here anymore, since she was the leader in her world. It's only been a few weeks, but I can still vividly remember myself worrying if things would change. Some things, however, never change.

"Wait, HQ school..?" I asked, mentally hoping it was a 'no' from my dad.

"Yes,"

"But...I don't really wanna go," At the mention of this, my Dad stopped setting up the table and turned to look at me.

"Why?"

"Do I have to say it?" I said, sheepishly. Honestly I didn't really know. Things were just going perfectly, no major crisis happening, no need to save the world. I could spend time with my dad. I just feel like going back to HQ's just gonna ruin it all...I can't afford to lose anyone again.

"No...but I'm your father...I'm always here, okay?" He said, smiling. I smiled back albeit small, and nodded.

"Does Mrs. Granada need you?"I asked, proceeding to sit down at the table and turn off the tv.

"I'm not sure honey, it might just be a training exercise,"

"Well you aren't going on a mission....without me," I said with a smile. Dad smiled back at me, and nodded.

"Ok well, let's go!" He told me as I shoved the rest of my omelet into my mouth.

Me and Dad entered the force field through the tram.

"You think there's a threat?" I said trying to break the silence.

"No, I don't think so, plus I've got you if something happens," He said while giving me a wink. A soft smile crept onto my lips, but I couldn't stop worrying.
