A New Threat

Marcus Moreno Pov (10 minutes earlier)

"Granada, why do you need me here?" I said, a bit annoyed, yet curious. I didn't really want to involve myself in superhero things, unless it's from the safety of my home, and Missy's with me. 

"Because we have a new threat, robots," Granada replied. Whatever I had been expecting, it surely wasn't that."In D.C., a US military general was working on a system named DESTINY. It was meant for the greater good, with more accurate missle launches, attacks, etc. Greater good that is. However, their AI, D.E.S.T.I.N.Y., has took control over all US Military weapons. Here is a video," She played a video. Missiles were activated and robots rising up and destroying everything. "It seems like D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. is building up and gathering forces. Our latest intel is that  she's going to attack here, where all of the Heroics are."

"If you know she's going to attack some time, then you'll have enough time to prepare-" I was about to finish my sentence, but a loud *BANG* was heard outside. 

"Pull up the news," Granda said, directing at on of hte workers. 

"Breaking news, it seems like robots are attacking Washington DC and it looks like artificial intelligence, D.E.S.T.I.N.Y, is controlling all the robots in the general's office, anyone who has tried to shut it down has gotten majorly injured," A reporter said. "Our president has something to say," Mr. President appeared on the screen. "Dear fellow Americans, the robots have sent a message. Dear humans, we are going to get rid of your human existence for reasons that have gone too long, but if you want to live,  you must surrender and go into hiding for the rest of your lives. Your leaders, or the puny Heroices, must come and surrender. If not, lives will be dearly cost. If anyone tries to stop us, we will ELIMINATE them. Our first attack will be at The Heroics Lobby at 12:00. The mastermind, D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. " Mr. President read aloud, with a new look of worry on his face. "Heroics, please, save us all," 

"What time is it," Granada said sternly.

"11:45 ma'am,"

"Then all the heroics get a full-scale hero to attack, including the children, we must be prepared, we saw what they did to DC," Granada told us. "I must inform the children,"

"But Granda! I can't-" 

"MARCUS!"

"Yes, ma'am!" 

Missy Pov

On the screen, I saw Mrs.Granada.

"Children, there is a new threat to Earth and this time your parent's need you, everyone get into your suits, including you Amber, your suit is with the others,"

We all suited up, including Amber, we were ready to fight and this time we were doing it with our parents. Well, everyone except Amber. Who was her parent, anyway? 

"Everyone, outside now," Mrs.Granda squeaked through the speakers. We all went outside to meet our parents, except Amber.

"Dad!" I went over and hugged him, "What's happening? Is this a whole new threat that big of a threat? And, why are you here! I thought you were going to tell Mrs.Granada you were quitting the team!" The last part had been momentarily discussed on the tram, something I thought wasn't worth mentioning in this story. 

"We don't know, but I'm sure it's nothing. And, I was, but then blah blah happened and now we'll have to save the world AGAIN, and then i'll tell her," I chuckled at his remarks. "Now go plan with your team," He smiled at me, as if he was proud that I was a leader now, I'm not sure. I went with the next generation of heroes.
