Welina i ka Hawaii

From sandy beaches with emerald-blue water and palm trees under tranquil skies to the rugged, black shoulders of volcanoes that continue to reshape the island.
I couldn't help but smile as I looked out the window of the aeroplane.

Hawaii. At last.

" I can't wait to go surfing! " exclaimed  Bella as she shook mum's shoulders. But she didn't seem to be paying attention, she looked deeply engrossed in the tour guide she was reading. Bella gave up and continued to beam down at the magnificent view.

While I was attending my last day of freshman year, Bella had her photo shoot. She submitted her portfolio yesterday and we're still waiting to hear from them. She usually works for local designers and small perfume companies, so this was like her big Gig.

I leaned against the window looking down at Waikiki beach thinking about the previous night. None of it made any sense. Jordan's deep puzzled voice echoed through my head, he had called to tell me who the mysterious caller was a few hours ago before the flight took off

" The number is registered to... " he began. but just as he was about to tell me who it was the call got disconnected 

who was it?? i never found out. maybe it was Tyler i thought to myself. It must've been his idea of a sick prank.

Bella and I stayed up watching television waiting to hear from the hospital that night.
It was already passed one, Mom returned home exhausted an hour later
" Hailey is going to be alright" She reassured us. Was she ? I wondered.

" And what about Shawn ? " I asked trying to sound casual.
" I called him a couple times and so did some others, but he happens to have vanished. The police told me he was a key suspect " she replied looking both worried and uneasy.
It wasn't possible. Was it ? No it couldn't be.
Anyway she was going to be alright, I just needed to focus on enjoying myself for once.
It's time for me to move on and have some fun!

These loud words pulled me out of my thoughts
I heard the captain speak through the intercom. although I had no idea what he was saying, do I look like I speak Hawaiian ? Looking out I understood We were descending.

I had a sudden tingling feeling and turned around to find someone staring at me

~ " Mahalo no ka huakaʻi ʻana me mākou makemake mākou he manawa kupaianaha kāu " continued the captain, sounding chirpy so I'm guessing we're gonna have a smooth landing. I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one who didn't understand a thing. I mean, most of the people travelling here must be tourists.

" What's he saying ? " I heard Bella say

I on the other hand was figuring out who this person was. He looked a little tan, his blond hair was slick back with strong highlights. Sea blue eyes and a definite jaw line. If Stassie was here, she'd say he looked like Andrew Creer the guy who played Tom in rip tide, but with blue eyes of course.
