Harry spent the first three weeks of summer exploring his new home, getting to know his mum, James, and Severus, and learning Occlumency and potions from Severus. James and his mum helped with transfiguration and charms respectively. All three adults were impressed with Harry's defense skills.
Bill and Charlie Weasley had both been by as well. They expressed their disgust at Dumbledore's actions. Charlie decided to maintain his distance and stay in Romania for as long as he could. Bill offered to feel out his parents and siblings and help as much as he could. He also offered to spy on Sirius and try to get a message to Remus. Both men were more willing to open up in front of Bill than Severus.
Hermione had been at the Burrow until she pretended her parents wanted her home. She was due to arrive at any moment. The twins, who were living in a flat above their new shop in Diagon, were planning to visit as well.
Harry was waiting for Hermione and the twins to arrive in the receiving room. He had chosen a seat on the sofa to the left of the fireplace, so he could keep both it and the door in his line of sight. He had a book in his lap but he wasn't reading it. He was thinking of how different his life was now.
The room he was in was the size of his bedroom at the Dursleys. His own bedroom here was probably the size of the entire upstairs at the Dursleys if he included the bathroom and closet. His lavish surroundings weren't the only thing on his mind. He had a family now. He had his mum, who loved him more than he knew, and even Severus and James. It was still awkward with Severus, but being purged had cleared Harry's mind. He no longer felt an irrational hatred towards the man. It was doing a lot of good for their relationship.
Harry was brought out of his reverie when the fireplace flared green. Then Hermione stepped out, brushing her shoulders. She stopped when Harry used magic to clean it for her.
"Harry! You can't do magic outside of school! Wasn't that trial last year enough of a deterrent?" Hermione scolded.
Harry grinned and put his wand away. "We can do magic here because of the wards and the adult wizards. The trace doesn't detect magic done by our wands, just magic done around us. It's only a problem for Muggle-borns, half-bloods, and the odd pureblood who follows the rule. Mum and Severus, and James too, are fine with it," Harry reassured.
Hermione still looked upset but Harry ignored her expression and pulled her in for a hug. Before he pulled away from the hug the Floo flared green again and two more figures appeared.
"Nice digs, little brother!" Harry heard one of the twins exclaim before two more sets of arms wrapped around him and Hermione.
Harry laughed and relaxed into the group hug. He only lasted a minute before squirming away.
"Let me give you a tour," Harry said. He led the way out of the room.
Harry showed them downstairs and the pool and then brought them upstairs. He showed them his parents and James' suites, as well as where Hermione would be staying. He showed them the room Harry had picked for if the twins ever stayed over. Hermione was in the room behind Harry, with one room still between hers and his parents. The elves had already brought her things to the room.
The last stop was Harry's room where the group sat and talked. Harry explained to the twins about finding Lily and James in the forest and everything that followed.
"We've been to Gringotts," Fred began.
"And had a purge," George continued.
"And we discovered,"
"A lot of modified,"
"And missing memories, as well as,"
"Potions and spells,"
