The Boggart (Chapter 7)

Hi! Sorry we haven't been on here for a while. We've been busy making other books! Iiesuu {Me}, LindinCapps , and Gh0stwr1t3r have been making another book called "I am the Son of Hermes", or SoH for short. Go check it out, as well as the people making it. Kenzie, or Pessimistic_Writer1 is near the middle of her newest(?) book, the third in the series, 'Come Back to Me', a Percabeth story! Lindin, Iiesuu, and Gh0stie are all helping now too. :) We just got a chapter up at the time of writing, so go check it out.

{Um, I also have a few announcements. At the time of writing, we just reached 1.9k views here. Which means, we're gonna be doing something! At the time of writing, the votes are...

A.) 2 votes

B.) 0 votes

C.) 0 votes

D.) 1 vote

So umm, yeah. If you wanna vote, do it quickly. Gh0stie wants to extend the end date of the Fanart competition to the end of the book, so we're doing that. If you wanna enter, DM Gh0stwr1t3r . Thanks! Um, we're working on a few books. Son of Hermes, TBWSS, Come Back to Me, and finally, one I am working on with Kenzie, *Insert spoiler wall*. Look out for that one! Um, yeah, that's about it. Vote above or in the most recent author's note. Thanks.}

Harry POV

A few days later - after all the commotion of the stunt that Percy and the twins had pulled had passed - we went back to Olivander's for Percy's wand. The man looked a bit spooked, but at least, this time, he was prepared. Before he handed a wand over to Percy, he pulled on a helmet with a leather strap, and held a fire extinguisher close by. I also noticed that all the taps in the surrounding area had extra cushioning, and the shelves had been bolted to the floor.

Well, at least he was prepared this time

In the half hour that we were there, Percy had tried out five more wands before he settled on one that worked with him.

As it turned out, the right fit for him was Alder wood, with a phoenix feather core, 12 ½ inches and reasonably supple.

When Olivander handed him the wand, nothing happened at first, but Percy's face became less strained and more focussed. He didn't look as though he was scared that he might set the shop on fire.

He was more relaxed.

That's when the tip of the wand started glowing, and Olivander let out a belt of laughter.

"Marvellous!" He cried. "Why didn't I try this wand sooner?"

"Wait," Percy said. "You mean, it worked?"

"Yes, it worked! It worked perfectly!" Olivander shouted. "It fits you like a glove!"

"That's a good thing, right?"

"Of course!"

Remus looked relieved. All the muscles in his face relaxed, and he smiled. "That is great news, then."

"Yes, yes, of course!"

After another few sprouts of enthusiastic praise, Olivander removed his helmet. We paid what was owed and left.

Olivander was left a little pink in the face and sweaty, probably all tuckered out from the wand choosing.

When we arrived back at Grimmauld place, Percy ran up the stairs to his room and started packing his things, seeing as it was about three days before he had to leave for Hogwarts. I helped him with some of the packing, but he did most of it, which was probably why all his suitcases were all bulging as if they had a bad case of beer bellies.
