Hydrokinesis (Chapter 9)

{Hey guys! You may have noticed that we haven't updated in... 4 months... and that I just updated it a month ago. I was just fixing something in the chapter, don't mind that. We're kinda back though, so yay!} It's been so long since I've been awake, I don't remember doing this since... March? {Yeah, apologies for that, my university work has been keeping me busy, and when I wasn't busy with that I was procrastinating} {And the work fiasco that happened a while ago. As well as the Fates hating us.} {Agreed.}

Percy POV

So, I woke up in a hospital for the third time in the span of two months, which normal people wouldn't generally consider normal, but then again, I'm a wizard, so I don't really classify as normal. Next to me, I found a few animated "Get well soon or I'll kill you" cards, and a bouquet of odd looking flowers. Of course, having the friends I had, I should have expected nothing less, but with the house I grew up in, it was a rare occurrence. Happy, but rare.

Then again, Harry was usually by my side when I woke up, but he wasn't here now, so I guess it wasn't as happy an occurrence as I would have wanted.

Madam Pomfrey was delighted to see me awake, and promptly told me that I had been unconscious for two days and she hadn't been sure that I was going to wake up. Of course, that little detail reassured me of her amazing skills.

After she looked me over once more, it was a while before I saw another face, which meant that I was bored out of my mind, and that I started fidgeting with everything that I wasn't supposed to fidget with. Lucky for me, my "injuries" weren't life-threatening, so I could basically touch anything that stood on the tables around me.

Fred and George came in a while later, both of them smiling when they saw me conscious.

"What the bloody hell happened to you out there?" were the first words out of Fred's mouth.

"All we knew was that you were dragged off by some lunatic centaur and for all we knew he could have killed you! And then when we do find you, all you say is that it's a long story and then you just go and die on us! How is that fair towards us?" Demanded George.

"I didn't die," I protested.

"Oh no, you just fainted, and went ahead and stayed unconscious for two days! Because that is so much better than just dying!" grumbled Fred, crossing his arms.

"Well it is better, let's be honest." I mumbled.

"Not for us!" said George.

"You wanted me to die?"

"Of course not! What kind of question is that?!" said Fred.

"Well... that's... Nevermind," I said, not having the energy to argue. "What happened while I was out?"

"Well, the whole bloody school went ballistic. The Gryffindor house is under lockdown, the Slytherins are spreading rumors about your untimely death, and the Hufflepuffs are in a terrified frenzy because it hasn't even been two weeks yet and a student has already died," Fred explained.

"And the Ravenclaws?" I dared ask.

"They have their noses buried so deep into their books they don't even know what's happening in the outside world." George said.

"I feel so loved."

"Of course, Hagrid blames himself and he has to face disciplinary action because it happened on his watch," said Fred.

"It wasn't his fault, though," I sighed. "Damnit, Ulysses."

"Who's Ulysses?"

"Nobody."
