Ah hi I'm gonna actually commit to this story lol. I'm really bad at updating but I'm gonna try for 1-2 chapters a week? I have a lot of schoolwork too but I'll try my best. I'm gonna explain the story outline, the characters, and anything else important. I will also update this with any new characters that entire the story as I continue to write. Also here is my TW for swearing, drugs/alcohol, murder, suicide, maybe NSFW idk yet, and other things.

Adeline's little brother was murdered about a day before the beginning of the story. A group of teens, Penelope, Jennifer, Emily, Aaron, Derek, Spencer, and herself take the matters into their own hands when they see the police are doing little to nothing about it. The story will follow their investigations as well as them all trying to figure out their places in the world. The story is set in Bloomfield, Vermont during the year 2020 (with no covid or any major events going on in the world) in September. Bloomfield is a small town. (I changed some birthdays so they wouldn't all be in Oct/Nov and chose the pronouns/personalities/sexualities based off of their pasts, and how I would view teenage them) They go to Skyline Highschool.

Adeline Jane Greenaway is a junior in highschool. She is 15 years old and their birthday is October 3rd, making her a Libra. They are very closed off to the world, not wanting to pay attention to anything or anyone, the complete opposite of her best friend Jennifer. She often wears dark clothing that's 2 sizes too big for her, a lot of jewelery, and subtle make up. She has a lot of money, but is very humble about it. She has heterochromia, meaning their eyes two different colors. One is a dark brown and the other is a dark blue. They have jet black hair. She doesn't have much time for hobbies since she's mainly stuck babysitting her little brothers and sister since their parents are never home. They have a nuturing personality from spending so much time taking care of her siblings, and cares very much for the few people they let in. They are bisexual with a preference for girls, except for this one boy. Their pronouns are she/they. They prefer to go by Addy or AJ.

Jennifer Alice Jareau is a junior in highschool. She is 15 years old and her birthday is November 22nd, making her a Sagittarius. She is a bubly person who makes a lot of friends, and loves attention. She often wears preppy clothes, pink lipgloss, and always has her hair perfectly straightened. She started becoming more open and carefree after her sister Roslyn committed suicide when she was 11. This is how Ros acted, and JJ wants to be just like her. She has bright blue eyes, long blone hair and is about 5'6. She spends most of her time with Addy, making their family her own. She is bisexual, but still figuring a lot out. For almost their entire sophomore year she was dating Will, until she broke it off over the summer when a certain Emily moved into town. Her pronouns are she/her. She prefers to go by JJ or J.

Emily Elise Prentiss is a junior in highschool. She is 16 years old and her birthday is February 14th, making her an Aquarius. She is very popular and funny, loved by almost everyone she meets. She spent most of her childhood moving from place to place because of her mothers work, but now will be staying in Bloomfield until she graduates because of her mothers contract. She had an abortion back at her old school, making everyone view her as scum, which makes her glad she gets a new start. She normally wears cropped shirts, tight dresses, loud make up and skirts, or dresses with a completely different aesthetic like baggy pants, little shirt, beanies, black nails, or sweats and sneakers, all depending on the day. She has dark brown eyes and brown hair. She's gay, which she realized after her abortion, findingbeing in bed with a man disgusting. Her pronouns are she/her and she likes to go by Emily or Em.

Penelope Grace Garcia is a junior in highschool. She is 16 years old and her birthday is August 31st making her a Virgo. She is more of a loner who wears all dark clothes like Adeline but on the inside has the biggest heart. Outside of school she is practically a whole different person who cares deeply for her younger brothers, mom, and stepdad. She is amazing at finding out anything about a person and can hack into practically any website. She has naturally blonde hair, but recently dyed it black and has brown eyes. She currently identifies as straight and uses the pronouns she/her but she is having a major gender/sexuality crisis but doesn't want to come to terms with it. She likes to be called Penelope to everyone except her close friends or family who call her Garcia or Penny.
