He still hadn’t loosened his grip on my hand yet. I looked him straight into his eyes and he looked back right into mine. “I’m never leaving you again Liz, I love you.” “We are Together again; Together forever.” The words slowly came into play in my head. Never have I heard him tell me this before. Did he truly love me? Has he finally seen that I’m the one for him? I couldn’t find the words to say anything back to him, I was in shock. We were still looking deep into each other’s eyes. I guess he saw I couldn’t find the words to explain how I felt about him. He slowly leaned into me. I knew he was going to kiss me and I knew this time nobody would stop us, so I slowly leaned into him. Our lips pressed against each other. His were so soft and cold compared to mine. I didn’t want to pull away from him and risk this being our last kiss. He finally backed away slowly from me smiling every time I would pull the front of his shirt to bring him back to my lips. I finally stopped doing this and he laughed at me. “What’s so funny?” “You are.” “I’m sorry I just didn’t want to let you go. I don’t want to lose you and I don’t want that to be our last kiss.” “It’s not I promise, we are Together again; Together forever.” There were those words again. Every time he says them I become speechless. He lets go of my hand and gets out of the car. I am still sitting there as he walks to the other sides and opens the door. He held out his hand for me; I grab it and he pulls me out of his car. We both smile had he walks me to my door. “I don’t want you to go.” “I know but I have to, I will see you tomorrow.” “I know but that’s a long way away from now.” “Not if you don’t think about it, honey.” I blushed and looked away when he called me that. He gave me a kiss on my hand again and walked back to his car. I just stood there watching him leave.
