The Doctor sat outside his TARDIS, looking at the moon; it was huge, luminous, and so mysterious. His mind wandered off into remembering a moment he spent with Rose…
The two of them sat by a lake looking at the stars and the full moon that was glowing over them. Rose looked beautiful, her blonde hair and her angel white skin radiating a light of their own. “This is… amazing.” Said Rose in awe, not quite finding the words to describe it. “It really is magnificent.” answered the Doctor, only he wasn’t looking at the moon.
Rose noticed and blushed, no wonder she loved him. “Do you ever think about the future?” she asked him, changing the subject. He thought for a minute.
“Nope.” He finally declared “I do not live in the past, I move on or else it hurts too much and I don’t live in the future because you can never know if it will end up being a disappointment. I live in the present, taking the events as they come.” “That’s pretty deep.” She told him, he smiled. “How long are we staying together?” he asked her, it was probably the third time he asked her that question but he knew she wouldn’t mind. “Forever.” she answered “I promise.” She added. “I promise too.” he agreed. They just sat there looking into each other’s eyes under the moonlight, as if to seal the pact.
They had promised, but nature doesn't care about people’s promises. Tears slowly ran down the Doctor’s face, glowing, in the moonlight. He had to get back to her.
