9. The kiss

Erik and I have grown close. We walk to the lab where we where told to meet the night before.

We met Charles on the way to the lab. 'You are going to be fine Mercy, don't worry. Ok.' Charles said in my head. Ok yes I was WORRED about the hole thing.

We make it to the lab. With a note on the door. Charles reads it and walks in side.

"What the heck happened here?" Erik asked, but Charles Ignores him and walks on. He walks to a crate with an X on it and opens it.

"Do we really have to wear these?" Alex said

"Well if you don't mind being riddled with bullets then I suggest we suit up" Charles responded.

Charles headed me mine and a black pair of boots. I leave the room to go get changed in the nearest bathroom.

I see Erik in his and he looks good.

"You look good" I tease him.

"Shut up"

"What it is true"

"Let's just get to the jet"

We walk most of the way in silence. But one question was really on my mind I had to ask it. "Are you ready for this?" I asked him.

"No, I am not." Erik confessed "I am not ready to face shaw," he puts his arm around my shoulder.

"You are Erik, you are." What I did next I would never expect to be doing. I stud up on my toes and gave him a small kiss on the cheek. I blush and turn away terrified of what I just did. I run the rest of the way to the jet, Not wanting him to catch up.

I hear a set of footsteps running after me. "Mercy, what" Erik called. For some reason I stop. And let him catch up to me. "Why did you run?"

"Because I was terrified of what you might say how you my act on that".

"Mercy." He gave me a hug. "You have no idea how long I wanted to do that" he finishes

For the rest of the walk we are silent. But we are happy.

Then it dawned on me. That was her first kiss.
